Why? Because he's a big man and one of the most respected wrestlers around. It's pretty amazing for a guy as old as him to still be in great shape.
Also , he wrestlers EVERY raw, smackdown and houseshow. Kane is the complete definition of a workhorse. Ridiculously underrated. He should be booked how the fat boring big show is IMO. Would definitely rather have Kane in big world title fueds instead of big slow.

True but Kane just takes it to a new level. Who the fuck gets pinned to a 3 from a damn side walk slam? Yet he goes for the pin every god damn time! The chokeslam is generic and dull. He hasn't adapted well IMO. He's just got worse. I know compared to Khali he is amazing but I dont think that gives him the invitation to be mediocre. There's enough of that on the roster as it is.

Bret Hart used to go for the pin after his backbreaker/2nd rope elbow drop.
HBK went for the pin after his top rope elbow, but never won with it.
Jericho still used the Lionsault even though he almost never won with it after the 90's.

Kane going for a pin after a side walk slam he is not expecting to win, its just to wear out his opponent more. It takes a lot out of you to kick out of a pin. It just wears down the wrestle more. Its just like when a wrestler puts an opponent in a arm bar and tells the ref to ASK HIM!!!, do you really think he expects a submission?
Kane is anything but mediocre. He constantly puts on good matches and one of the best 'big guys' of all time. Dude can still go in the ring at 45 and has ensure so much shit booking over the years and put so many other people over, without complaining once about it.
He along with Daniel Bryan made the anger management storyline gold, and I wasn't expecting anything good out of it.
Partly why I still mark for the guy today, and have done for the last 15 years.
