Why are people rating Cesaro so highly? Not a loaded question, genuinely wondering. I haven't seen anything above the standards you'd expect from a TV match.
In terms of psychology, innovation, smoothness, working crowds and bumping.
I personally don't think there is a top specific 5 because some guys are better at other things than others. But if I were to name the very top guys in terms of the categories above then.
Daniel Bryan, Christian, Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Antonio Cesaro, CM Punk, Randy Orton and Sheamus.
1.- Punk (he made look good to The Rock, damn)
2.- Danielson (be in a tag team is not the best thing for his in-ring work, but still one of the best. If he run alone, it's going to be the best)
3.- Sheamus (He make look impresive to everyone he wrestle)
4.- Alberto Del Rio (be face it's improving his performance, making HF moves and being agile)
5.- Ziggler (he oversells, that's true, but his matches always finally getting the crowd into. He's getting over not by his gimmick or micro skills, but in-ring work)
I think some people are basing their top 5 purely on internet hype. Kidd? When was the last time he was on tv yet alone had a singles match on PPV, how can you say he is a top 5 worker in the company . Cesaro has a great move set but has yet being given the opportunity to show his full capabilities apart from a match with Orton on main event which wasn't mind blowing. And while I'm a fan of Ziggler hes had so many matches with Orton/Sheamus/Cena but have any of them been classics or at least MOTYC? His best match is still with Bryan from 2010. Orton's moveset as a babyface sucks and his body will not let him be a face simple as that he can't bump for shit anymore.
#1 Daniel Bryan
#2 CM Punk
#3 Sheamus
#4 Cena
Everyone else is below these 4 when it comes to both TV and PPV matches for me. Rey would be on this but its tough to judge how good he still is at this point with injuries.
I think they're basing it on in ring talent which Kidd has a ton of. I thought Ziggler had a star making performance when he won mitb, but he should've been turned face instead of being jobbed out to the entire roster. Ziggler had a chance to steal the show at TLC, but Sheild overshadowed him that night.
