Default There is about 12 hours of WWE TV a week, does the lack of Major Angles bother you?

Im rarely a person who constantly slates and complains about the WWE but I think this is an interesting way of putting things.

WWE puts up to 12 hours of TV a week with RAW, Smackdown, Main Event, Saturday Morning Slam, NXT, PPVs, Superstars.

Now whilst I do like multiple different things in wrestling from all different programmes the obvious main draw and main reason I tune in every week is to see the main angles and the main talent which in total probably only adds up to an hour each week.

I can watch a lot of wrestling as I am a fan of watching many different matches from the top to the bottom of the roster but like I say its them main guys and main feuds that really draw me in to watch every week.

This is only my opinion and obviously different people are drawn to different things but it is appalling that WWE struggle to create many worthy and interesting feuds considering we pay the company money with merch, PPV and live shows.

I find it quite offensive that with all of that TV the vast majority of it is meaningless feuds which aren't built for us to be engaged with, recaps, squash matches, fillers, ads, social media references, pointless promos, ridiculous segments hornswoggle squirting rosa with a flower and repeated promos.

Nowadays it just seems like WWE is always padding out and treading water trying to drain everything they can from one main feud. I just dont like the way they always seem to be holding back and constantly putting a carrot in front of us rather than giving us the carrot. Us fans are patient but there are so many big feuds WWE could do and people WWE could push but they just never seem to have their finger on the pulse. Its almost like they give us what they want rather than what we want as fans.

I dont understand how a company who has got it right so many times in the past gets it so wrong all of the time today.

I just hope when HHH finally does take over he realises this and starts booking multiple big feuds at the same time rather than just getting by.

Ive come to expect it considering only 3 hours go to Raw, the only show that actually makes an effort to be successful, even then all the focus is on one man , who takes up about 30 mins of those 3 hours.

So no its not surprising at all.

You can see what happens when they don't care about the undercard and midcard. And even if somebody isn't undercard or midcard, the first hour of both programs are not well booked and have lots of lazy "Who gives a fuck?" matches with no builds. ADR had loads of these matches. ADR/Punk, ADR/Morrison, ADR/Rey, etc. None of those types of matches were bad per se. Many were quite good. But just action for the sake of having action is boring. WRESTLING isn't boring. Wrestling is amazing. Two people thumping into one another for 10 minutes is boring.

Right now, Orton has been booked in a lot of Who Gives A Fuck? matches and even if the matches are quality against intriguing and new opposition they are channel changers! Orton/Cesaro just lost about 700,000 viewers.

Also, wrestling isn't boring. But screwing over every match in the first 90 minutes of RAW and Smackdown with commercials is awful. I knew 3 Hour RAW meant MILLIONZ OF DOLLARZ!!! but I didn't realize it was going to mean literally millions of commercials. Poorly placed commercials at that!

You know that Orton/Cesaro match I just mentioned that recently lost 700,000 viewers? I was interrupted by 2 extensive 5+ commercials a piece commercial blocks. Maybe even more. I myself stopped watching. I couldn't get invested into that match when I knew another 2 or 3 minute commercial block raping was around the corner. The matches and undercard/midcard is all sacrificed for 40 minute main angles that could be done in 20 minutes or less and still be interesting and likely even improved by that. The scheduling probably no fewer than 10 to 15 commercials during both the first and second hour RAW completely cuts the balls off the matches.

Oh yeah. Laziness in booking, too much time to fill=overexposure and repetition. Did we really need to see something like Dolph Ziggler/Kofi Kingston on at least a weekly basis for honest to God months? I have nothing against a Ziggler/Kingston match but seeing it 20 times in 20 weeks was a bit much!

The tag team division always has emphasis on one main team and their nemeses. You see that match again and again and again. Cryme Tyme/Hart Dynasty was insane. Right now Hell No/Rhodes Scholars has been entirely beaten into the ground. I really enjoy all 4 wrestlers involved in Hell No/Rhodes Scholars but the same matches with the same outcomes again and again and again are maddening.

Sometimes I feel like a total muppet for tuning in every week only to be interested in 40 mins of the show, predict everything that happens and watch the same guys win week in week out and even when I am surprised by the outcome (like Barrett beating Orton) a week later we are back to Barrett bene beaten by Orton and Bo Dallas.

Its just the same matches every week but with no meaning or feud behind them.

I just dont understand why there can only be two story lines in WWE at once at the moment.

We dont want to see a load of random matches we want to see meaningful feuds with meaningful outcomes and what confuses me is they used to be able to do this years ago.

It just seems like Vince has just given up because he think he knows the fans better than we know out selves.

I mean even office favs like Sheamus, Orton, Ryback etc just dont have meaningful feuds and just random matches every week.

WWE is like a stale boyfriend girlfriend relationship. One side making the effort and the other side making no effort at all. Bidding their time getting through each week and not giving the other party what they want. The same thing week in week out with little change and the other party making an effort once or twice a year.

The feuds get dull and repetitive, I remember back in the day when WCW had a best of 7 series between Benoit and Booker T... awesome matches, and it was interesting because you simply didn't see two great guys match up against eachother so often. Now we see it every week and it's dull as hell... even matches that are awesome at firt, like Cesaro vs Orton, get boring after you've seen them for the 4th week in a row.

Default Re: There is about 12 hours of WWE TV a week does the lack of Major Angles bother you

Or with the Ziggler feud, where Ziggler and his posse cheated extensively and Cena still went over Ziggler clean 4 straight times.

It never had the pay off of Ziggler being booked like a tard only to get the "surprising win" over Ziggler. Now Cena is like...

"WHC MEANS NOTHING, ZIGGLER MEANS LESS THAN NOTHING! TWICE IN A LIFETIME, HERE I COME!"

After that Rumble win, "Ziggler who?"

The guy spoiled a Smackdown cash in and then announced he would challenge for the WWE title. Huh?

So why even book that? Probably set Ziggler back 2 years, if he ever recovers. Furthermore, 4 same matches, between Cena...and a Smackdown guy with Smackdown's Money in the Bank contract. Who is now on the RAW roster and still has the Smackdown contract! Because fuck it, making sense is hard to book!

Yes it does. EVERY week should matter. If a viewer misses an episode, they should notice it the next week.
