Trading finishers doesn't make a match better, but it makes the build to the ending more exciting. But there have been plenty of matches without trading finishers that have been great matches.

I like that it isn't done too often. If finishers were kicked out of consistently, then the 'big move' feel of them would be gone.

The only match that is genuinely 'trading finishers' was Triple H vs Undertaker. And that was only because it was just two guys who knew each other for over 15 years, the biggest stars in the company, fighting at the biggest PPV of the year, with the streak on the line

From the moment they stepped in the ring, they didnt waste any time squaring off or grappling. They knew none of that gay shit would cut it because Shawn tried it before, so instead Triple H from the first second started dropping big punches, big finishers, and motherfucking bombs

Even if they were trading finishers, that was the situation to do it. It was the moment to go ALL OUT and have an epic war.
