i mean during the monday night skirmish (2010) WWE wasn't exactly trying to put on the best possible show more then just doubling down on the return of Bret.

Also, when you look at those 2 big eras in wrestling, they both coincided with multiple healthy companies.

Rock 'n Wrestling - WWF, NWA, AWA, USWA, and numerous regional companies like GCW, Smokey Mountain, WCCW,etc.

Attitude Era - WWF/E, WCW, ECW


Even in the "slow" period during the early 90's, you still had a lot of companies. Heck, I remember watching GWF on ESPN during the week. Those really were the days.


Too bad there's only WWE and TNA right now with ROH and Dragon Gate being the "indy/minor leagues".
