In my opinion what's ruined wrestling for me and probably most of you is signing up to a forum. I really think if we were all still ignorant marks we'd enjoy the program a lot more. Instead every element of the show is dissected just to illustrate the negative effect it produced by each and every person and it's always been like that even in the earlier forums in AE time. But hey, I'm a few months off 20 so what do I know?

25, fan since childhood. Was a smark, marked for all the heels. DAMIEN AND LUCIFER, BITCHEZ

I'm really close to throwing in the towel on WWE. I didn't really like it a few years ago, and Chikara and PWG are more my speed now I think.

I don't want to turn my back on something that has been 80 percent of my life and a large portion of my family life...

But I just don't enjoy WWE that much anymore.

Fuckin' sad.

The older I get the less I care about what's going on with the WWE. They have guys I love from ROH and other shows, but NJPW is giving me a better product the last two years and I only really watch for Punk, Shield, and Cesaro since Bryan isn't doing anything worthwhile.

Yeah, honestly nothing hooks me anymore. Back before, in the Attitude Era, it was all unpredictable. Nobody expected Austin to rush the ring in a beer truck. Nobody expected anything. You were hooked on the unpredictable status of the company.

Right now, they do something that can get me hooked. These are like CM Punk might leave the WWE with the title or Daniel Bryan winning the World Championship. You never expected it. You expect anymore to have a guy rammed down your throat time after time after time after time after time (Cena) or a mega push to the top and rammed down your throat (Sheamus, Ryback)

Honestly, I am probably just going to switch over to WWE.com or RAW to see what is going on, but as for watching every episode, probably not. Things that could hook me now is The Shield getting huge or Punk, Bryan, Barrett, Cesaro, Ohno and quality guys like that getting to be the only main event stars night after night.

I somewhat agree with this. Only somewhat because signing up for this forum hasn't necessarily ruined it for me. It HAS, however, changed some ways in which I perceive things with the show.

I watch TNA because the focus of the show is directed towards my demographic (I'm 20) yeah TNA has Superman Hardy atm but at least they don't push his armbands down our throats. If Cena bleeds half the audience made up of kids cry you ever see kids crying when Hardy was attacked by the A&8's?

I don't have a problem with it being called sports entertainment seeing how at the height of the attitude era in 99 or so the Rock was calling himself the most electrifying man in all of sports entertainment

That's pretty much what I mean, one person has a negative opinion and it is snowballed through other users. It's to the point now it's just out of habit to hate the product. I mean for fuck's sake, we just had THE ROCK vs. CM PUNK yesterday and people still don't appreciate it. There's no way a mark would be complaining.

Some people DO just always have to have something to hate. I liked the idea of a Punk vs Rock match, but I didn't get to watch it. I'm not all too crazy over a Cena/Rock II, but whatever. The WWE is just working with what they've got.

This. Wrestling fans on the internet will make you feel bad for liking an episode that was "bad"

And the product really isn't as predictable as people think. Its only predictable because people go on the internet and spend hours trying to figure out what will happen while reading spoilers. It was unpredictable in the Attitude Era because internet was still a new thing.
