im just going to say it, this is my rant of the night, this is the problem with todays product

punk was talking about a glass ceiling the other week, meaning that nobody can look better than a guy like cena, cena is that glass ceiling
the reason why there is no stars like there was today is that cena is always main eventing, with returning stars like rock/lesnar

austin/rock benefited when hart/hbk left, they got pushed and were given a chance, can u imagine at wm 14 and wm 15 if hart/hbk stayed and hogan and friends came back, and we got hogan vs nash at wm, and hbk vs hhh, austin/rock would of stayed mid carders because they never had a chance

nobody is given that chance, even punk during his reign in many ppv's has played second to cena

take ziggler for example, imo he has main event potential, but he's never given a chance, tonight he loses again to cena, plus there's seems to be a lack of freedom

take austin in wcw, he was great but never was that superstar there, why is that, because it wasn't till 1997-1998 when he was given a chance

right now it starts at the top, cena is still "vince's boy", and the whole reign of punk's just got flushed down the toiler the moment rock comes back so he can job to cena at mania, and its rinse and repeat

and even if wrestlemania draws big, its a short term fix, its like relying on your star quaterback who is aging and not having any young prospects to take his place

and even if RTWM draws what about the other 9 months, flushed down the toilet, who cares, rock's just coming back next year and taking the show over anyways

im all for superstars coming back, but in the right matches, not for hhh's ego getting his victory over lesnar which does nothing for the company

so what they stuck around for 4-5 years and then left wwe when they got popular, atleast hart and hbk loved the business enough to stay around for over a decade wrestling fulltime. fuck austin and rock fucking hollywood sellouts.

You're aware that Austin had his career ended by injury right?

Except for the fact that Punk could've been champ till 2015 and the company wouldn't have been in any danger of going bankrupt - and you damn well know that. So, just more bullshit.

Just ignore him he doesn't understand that the ratings are bad because the roster is full of mid card talent and it's a three hour show. He thinks guys that wrestle day in and day out and cut great promos are terrible draws.

434 days. The greatest reign in the history of professional wrestling. Nobody will forget it.

why people are still crying about punk losss ? He remained champion for well over 400 days and people still complain about it. We all knew the moment they started building up rock vs punk that rock is gonna win at RR. What i hate the most is super cena winning the rumble again ? Did cena needed rumble victory ??? Wtf he gains from winning the rumble ?

Disagree.

'Last year's fans will feel ripped off...' Yeah I doubt that. They got to see 2 embodiments of an era wrestle. They saw a damn good Wrestlemania too. And even if the match happened again, they could say they got to see the first one. I sure as hell wouldn't feel ripped off.

'How can anybody be interested in Cena/Rock?' Well you my friend are part of the IWC i.e. a group of people who spend valuable time complaining about wrestling on the internet. We're all a part of it, some more integrated than others and OP I am talking about you. Anyway, the IWC is a minority. Smarks are a minority. Will they gather in a herd at Wrestlemania? Absolutely! Will they be silent during Rock/Cena to show disinterest? Nope. Not to mention the fact Rock/Cena for the WWE Title brings mainstream attention to WWE. In other words, us 'smarks', IWC-ers are going to represent even less of the overall demographic likely to watch Wrestlemania. Just because you don't like it, or others here don't like it, doesn't mean there isn't intrigue elsewhere.

it should be illegal to be that dumb and clueless really

wrestlers aren't prisoners, they can come and go anytime they want, it's their JOB , they make money off it, now if they were offered a promotion the smart thing to do is to take it, not waste your whole life in a dead end

so you would rather spend your whole life counting the mcnuggets at Mcdonalds than move on to a bigger and better job just because your "loyal" ? GTFO

and btw, I wouldn't exactly call either Bret or Shawn employee of the month, both were HUGE marks of themselves in the 90's, one of them dropped 8 belts without competing or losing in a match and backstabbed half of the locker room while taking vacations of phony injures calling it "losing his smile" , the other refused to drop the belt on his very last match in the company and actually wanted to drop the title willingly the next night then going off to the competition (you know, the one that offered him 3 million dollars a year, and he didn't refuse in accepting it, LOYAL right? )

long story short : everyone is in it because of the money, don't kid yourself
