wwe has pissed off the fans that made wrestling great back in the late 90s, most of them are gone now

wrestling is not cool anymore, most are don't even want to admit they watch it

what happened tonight is a spit in the face of punk of his title reign, i wouldn't be surprised if punk did another shoot pipebomb for real tomorrow night and ask for his release

vince tonight proved he only cares about a short term fix, get that wrestlemania number same as last year, keep relying on aging stars from attitude era

who cares about the last 400 days, lets put the title on a movie star who comes back for 3 months so then we can put it on another overrated star on the wrong side of 35 that the crowd hates

Here's a tip then.......don't watch

Plus, you complain about not having things that made it great in the late 90s, so they give the belt to one of the greatest stars of that time, and you STILL complain? DaFuq?

Of course ratings are down over the past decade. Wrestling has always been, and will always be, a generational business. One generation loves it and eats it up while the next doesn't care for it as much. It's a ever-transitioning industry that will only rise again soon enough. History proves it.

Again, if you're just going to complain and contradict, then dueces

thats such a cop out, saying its a generational thing, its because wrestling flat out isn't as good as it was in late 90s

i hear excuses about how fans have more channels and options these days, and thats why raw doesn't get high ratings, did you ever think maybe its because the product is poor

you don't honestly believe the product is as good as it was in say 1997-1999 do you

Never said I did. But you talking about how great it was in the late 90's then going on and complaining about them giving the belt to a star from that era is highly contradicting.

Yeah because in 1999 they didn't give Bruno Sammartino the belt...

I've been the best ever since day one when I walked into this company and I've been vilified and hated since that day because Paul Heyman saw something in me that nobody else wanted to admit. If Vince really disvalues his company big time. He would've had Punk continue his cancerous title reign and let his company go bankrupt in 2014.

All the Punk fans upset saying Rock ruined his long reign by ending it. Look at it this way, Rock always was going to win the belt and the only reason Punks reign lasted this long was because they wanted him to face The Rock. He probably would have lost it to Cena or Ryback by now.

And The Rock has beaten people with The People's Elbow before. He defeated HHH for the title with it at Backlash 2000, I was there so I know.

You know what the worst thing is. I think this rings true for most wrestling fans, but in case it doesn't I'll speak for myself only. I was a huge John Cena fan from his beginning until about late 05, lets just say until March of '06 since that's when "wrestling season" ends. His gimmick was cool, he wrestled good matches, he was diverse, creative and interesting on the mic and it really breaks my heart to see what he has become. Hell, I even own a John Cena shirt from back in those days. I really feel that the main reason behind all of the hate Cena receives from us, the IWC, is that he used to be a good wrestler, but since he became the SuperFace of the company he's been stale, unentertaining and because of that, we've turned our back on him. It may not be all his fault, but at the end of the day he doesn't wrestle/perform like he use to.
