Little things from the old days that you miss?

What little things do you miss?

Little things as in stuff ordinary people might overlook. So don't say, "I miss Stone Cold" or "I miss the Attitude Era."

For me, I miss:

1) The long hair. Today, the majority of wrestlers, almost all of them, have short hair. Or no hair at all. Even the ones who kept the tradition going, like Edge, HHH, and Chris Jericho, have cut it off. The long hair gave wrestlers a distinct look and helped associate the product with rock&roll. I guess the culture changed, and WWE adapted to it. The wrestlers today look like MMA fighters.

2) The cartoon names. Look at the names. Randy Orton. John Cena. Alberto Del Rio. Brock Lesnar. Daniel Bryan. Why are they using real names? Give me King Kong Bundy. Give me Ultimate Warrior. Give me Doink the Clown. Give me Mr. Perfect. Give me the Honky Tonk Man. I want comic book characters, not real people.

3) The old railings (http://www.retroactionfigures.com/images/CIMG0559.JPG). I liked whenever the wrestlers got near it, the fans used to reach over and touch them.

Mid-carders actually having a compelling storyline rather than generic "You beat me on _____ so I'm challenging you in a filler match at the _____ PPV!" feuds.

I miss the Intercontinental Championship being represented by great technical wrestlers. The days of Chris Jericho defending against Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle...those days were great. It should be being represented by Daniel Bryan & Tyson Kidd. Can't think of anyone else atm.

I also miss the cartoon posters for PPVs.

Here are comparison pictures:

Re: Little things from the old days that you miss?

Diva's division getting focus.
Puppies.
Cruiserweight/hardcore titles.
JR full time on Raw.
Less PPV's that are gimmicky (i.e. Fatal Four Way/Hell in a Cell/Mpney in the bank being it's own PPV)
Better defined characters.
The importance of all title reigns (CM Punks is the exception)
Valid competition forcing WWE to step up their game.

Many others but it's 6:47am and I'm going back to bed.

Seeing as I've had a lot of PM's about the sig it's from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_Point_%28film%29

I'd love to have this back, too. The only issue is that when we do actually get characters, fans bitch about them and say that the character is stupid. Goofy characters have always been a part of wrestling. It's part of what makes the show fun to me.

This by a lot. It's strange how the show is three hours long and there are really only one or two storylines at a time while everything else is filler.
