I'm guessing that the OP didnt see ROH when Daniel was the face of it and defending the title around the world in 5 star matches...

I'm neutral on Daniel Bryan. There's no doubt he's a talented technician, but is he really this super ultra, total package performer that his marks claim he is? I have yet to see this. It's just the way his fans put him on such a pedestal as if he was the GOAT is just laughable, annoying, and delusional.

Considering you have only seen his WWE work you can't really say he's not the GOAT.. That's like someone saying Metallic isn't good yet they've never heard any of their 80s music.

His current Team Hell No gimmick is running its course and is near its end, it has been entertaining but in my opinion is getting stale now. I think this staleness in his current character, combined with his current look (of a tramp) is causing more people to detract than normal. Daniel seems incapable of meshing his comedy with an underlying feeling of being a permanent threat, which is something Kurt was excellent at. How ever much of a goof he played, you always knew he could go in the ring. I don't feel that same threat from Bryan at present.

I'd like to seem him return to his singles career with a more serious persona, focusing around his abilities not unlike when Kurt was in his wrestling machine phase. His talent could be enough to solidify him as a main eventer in and of itself, like Benoit. Or maybe not.

His wrestling is definitely the best in the company right now. I don't think he has the look to be a main eventer, and never will, nor do I think he has the necessary charisma. I think he will do well as a top mid carder / infrequent main eventer.

Is he as good as HBK, Kurt etc? No. In tehcnical terms he probably rivals them, but he lacks the showmanship and charisma of the former to really be considered in their category. But purely as a wrestler, he certainly is not overrated.

I'm sure we'll see the end of Team Hell No pretty soon. After that, as was mentioned above Bryan should get more serious. Someone made a great suggestion in another post that he should change his catchphrase from "No!" to "Tap!". He should go on a winning streak of making people tap out, which could lead to bigger feuds. I think that would help get him over as a legitimate threat.

What I don't get is why people's tastes are so boring and predictable that they'd disregard arguably one of the best careers in the entire industry? This goes back to that "Daniel Day Lewis" comparison. If someone shows brilliance in front of a smaller audience, yet fails to live up to it on a larger stage due to restrictions, why blame the individual and not the machine that's holding him back? better yet, why pay more attention to the latter? quality doesn't seem to matter as much as familiarity.

If you truly knew what Bryan was capable of, there would be no doubt in your mind that his work and potential is right up there with the very best. And no, that's far from the definition of overrated. The reason being because it's well deserved.

Bryan/Ziggler better than Zigger/Edge & Ziggler/Punk? Nope, not in a million years. Both those matches were awesome. Bryan/Ziggler was a good one, too, but it's just not the same.

He's one of the greatest "wrestlers" of all time(in ring ability only), but the company is all about "entertainment".
So you're not really going to see why he's one of the greatest if they will not give him time to show that.
Give him 20 minutes in a PPV with a decent opponent and for sure you will have a MOTN...

There are other wrestlers who get equal or more love than Bryan on the internet, and since he is more talented than at least most of them, he therefore cannot be the most overrated. OP is confusing the word 'overrated' with 'wrestler people love that I don't like.'

First off, if this thread gets deleted it'll prove that it doesn't wanna hear anything negative about Bryan and that it's full of Bryan marks... I'm making points here.

I don't hate Bryan. He's probably the best in ring wrestler wwe has, and i think hes a top midcarder/ emergency main eventer. Maybe win another world title..... BUT I can't take him serious as a face of the company/facing Brock lesnar. Bryan still has no mic skills to be a main guy in wwe. He's also getting fat which isn't good he needs to get back in shape. How many 5 star matches has he had?? Only 2 IMO. Extreme rules with sheamus and MITB with punk.

How people are saying he's better than angle and Michaels is absolutely laughable.

Now, you can like Bryan and all, but how can you not sayhe's overrated in the IWC?? Again I DON'T HATE BRYAN.

He has no mic skills..he's one of the only things good on the mic in the PG WWE. He can be put in any situation and make it work and he damn sure wouldn't let Eve tell him in a backstage segment that he's been "overshadowed by AJ of all people" and left looking dumb.
