WM Matches

I been reading a few of the threads regarding Punk and Taker for Mania is there any chance it could be a (Title vs Streak) match since Punk said on Raw that no man was gonna take his title. Which would leave Rock and Cena for there rematch.

Re: WM Matches

Its possible.

There are a lot of downsides to it though. The streak versus title story is good, but we all know Undertaker is going to win. Do you want Undertaker holding that belt right now? Can he even handle the working load that comes with being champion?

Rock vs Cena would benefit from having the title. It not only adds some spice to their rivalry but it also separates this match from last year's match.

And of course, Rock being champion will draw a lot of casual fans, people who haven't tuned into WWE since the Attitude Era.

The best scenario is:

1) Rock beats CM Punk at Royal Rumble to win the title
2) Cena wins the Royal Rumble match
3) Rock (c.) vs Cena at Wrestlemania
4) CM Punk vs someone. Maybe Undertaker.

Re: WM Matches

What about Punk vs Taker - Title vs Streak @ Mania. Taker wins, but the next night on Raw, Ziggler cashes in? It would be surprising, and hopefully push Ziggler right in around the top guys.

Rock vs Punk at RR-Punk wins

Punk vs Taker at WM-Taker wins.Punk retains the title by some method of DQ.

Punk proclaims the next night on Raw he has done the unthinkable-Beat the Rock and then retained the championship against Taker at WM.

Punk should lose the championship to the MITB winner,IMO

Re: WM Matches

I think 2013 is gonna be big for Ziggler
he's gonna cash in at wrestlemania against
whoever and the era of Dolph begins.

.
People said the same thing last when Rock came back.RTWM draws more viewers in general and The Rock's mere presence will draw a few more.

Rock winning the title does nothing except show that how a guy that hasn't wrestled for a decade just beat the top two guys of the company.

Imagine if Hulk Hogan(who was still in wrestling) came back and beat Austin and Rock in his return matches around 2002.People would have destroyed him(atleast on the internet) for not putting over/passing the torch. This scenario is way worse

Different situations.

In 2002, Stone Cold and Rock were actually bigger draws than Hulk Hogan. Hogan beating them made no sense. It wouldn't help the company get more money.

In 2013, Rock is a much bigger draw than Cena and Punk. There's more $$$$ in him beating them than in him "passing-the-torch."
