Default Would Shane McMahon the main eventer be well received by fans?

Yes, he is a McMahon and the son of the WWE chairman and that made it a lot easier for him to be part of some important storylines, be it as a wrestler, manager or referee.
But unlike sons of other owners or wrestling legends like Greg Gagne or David Flair he was really charismatic, had the look and mic skills, he was able to cut promos some of the main eventers can only dream of. He was really entertaining in the ring and really athletic, he was not a Guerrero or Benoit but he was really skilled and the most important thing is that he was really over with the fans.
Would this be enough for him to be a main eventer and full time wrestler in the WWE who would take part in the main events and even win the world title or would it be too much and a disgrace because he is a McMahon?

I mean his whole WWE run since he debuted in the Attitude Era. The idea of having 1 on 1 matches for the title against The Rock, Mankind or Triple H on PPVs. Now he is over 40 and it's too late anyway

Today? No, he's getting older.

Ten years ago? Possibly, if he were to wrestle full time. If so, I would have just kept him as a upper midcarder who may on occasion get a world title shot, and maybe win. It certainly could work in a big storyline

But yeah, for a guy who didn't receive as much training as a typical wrestler, he was damn good. Good on the mic too.

Shane is an all-time favorite. He was awesome, and could've been a strong upper-mid carder. Many IC title runs.

My understanding was that he had no interest in being put in that kind of position. He enjoyed the spots he did, but didn't want to do more than that.

Guy had amazing athleticism. I saw him live sprint down the old RAW ramp, hit a steel cage running, scale it and dive off onto the Mean Street Posse in mere seconds. The way he fell and took bumps was just so unique, people respected it and it also scared the hell out of them.

this is freaky.. I literally logged on tonight to make a thread about Shane McMahon and find this posted mere minutes before I could!! ok now that i got that out my system

...I do not know what Shane does now except that he is obviously doing well. I don't know history or why he left WWE or anything.. none

I know this. When he was around I always loved Shane-o-mac! His chemistry with The Rock (and let's face it, fanboyism) was great and he had the biggest training:entertainment ratio in history

wether it's on the mic, in the ring doing his goofy moves or the ali shuffle.. or doing the corporate flying elbowdrop from hell he so loves

Shane McMahon in my eyes = RATINGS

now... here's the thing.. everyone in the WWEverse has been wondering..
"Who is behind The Shield?"
"Who is their leader?"
"The shield has brought devastation to the WWE like a pack of crazed dogs but who holds their leash?!

am I the only one who would mark out like crazy if the one man in control of the shield.. the mastermind behind it all.. the boss that is ought to fight injustice in the wwe is none other than

SHANE MCMAHON?!

.......mind blown
