so I don't see why Cowboys Stadium can't ask the ncaa to postpone The NCAA tournament And Finale 4 to May 5 & 7 In 2014
Things like this are why wrestling fans are considered idiots to the population in general.
Maybe, just maybe, it has something to do with NCAA basketball being an order of magnitude bigger on a national scale? Ya think? What with the national TV and radio coverage and millions generated in the local economy and all.
What the fuck kind of rock do you live under that this is even a valid question?
LOL! Pontiac?! As a resident Detroiter who has been to the Silverdump for many events, including WMIII as a young kid, that place is not suitable for a WM or anything that isn't a soccer game or a monster jam. Place is outdated, no scoreboards much less a video screen. It was sold to some group of people a few years ago for a mere $900K.
Detroit's Ford Field is probably where WM would be should it come back to this great state. I think since WWE is going the direction of stadiums, why not Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, MI? Football capacity of 109,901 and holds world records for most people at a football game (114,804) and a hockey game (113,411) at ANY level.
Unless they're going to hold it at Angels Stadium (which I personally wouldn't mind since I live just 20min away), I don't see Anaheim working. The Rose Bowl in Pasadena is a very realistic option in my opinion. Haven't had a Mania in SoCal in 8yrs, beautiful weather, tons of tourist-y stuff to do and see for people flying in, and a historic venue that could potentially pack over 100k for wrestling.
Michigan Stadium or Rose Bowl sounds wicked to house Taker vs Cena be it in WM 30 or 31.
Not sure why. I understand it's a new location but that venue is a piece of shit. Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy would be a MUCH better choice. Practically brand new.
I'm just kind of mad still XXX or 30 or whatever it will be called won't be at MSG. Just forget tradition WWE, it's not like you made it a point to make it back to MSG every 10 'Manias....
It underwent about $200 million in renovations after Hurricane Katrina. They don't give Super Bowl's, Final Fours, BCS Sugar Bowls and BCS National Championships - ALL WITHIN THE PAST TWO YEARS to a venue that "is a piece of shit".
Only a true WWE mark would insist that the venue is good enough for some of the biggest sporting events in the world but not good enough for WWE.
