. It should. It should have a long time ago. WWE will never let the women upstage the men & they will never be taken credibly in the "boys club" of WWE, so stop wasting time, money & resources on an inferior product.
The sad thing is, WWE could have an amazing female division, with great workers, capable of putting on good matches between women with talent & depth to their character. Even providing some role models to young girls, like the women of Joshi in Japan. WWE will just never do it.
Common sense goes completely out the window in WWE. They either hire non-wrestlers (models) & try to make them work, or they hire wrestlers (non-models) & have them not work. It's such a backwards mentality.
Everyone talking about Paige being the savoir is just lying to themselves. She's not a great worker in the first place but she is young & pretty. I think more than anything, it's just people holding onto hope, for whatever reason. Honestly though, the women's division doesn't add anything to the product. It hasn't for years. It arguably hasn't ever in WWE.
