Shawn Michaels hands down. Best performer in the history of pro wrestling; felt this way since 1998 before he retired. He's the best ever IMO and he also has my favorite heel run as champ.

Yeah he's not Rock/Hogan/Austin, but he's definitely better than all of them as champ.

Those using the "he can't draw excuse" yeah, no one was gonna contend with WCW during 1996-1997 with Hogan starting a SECOND boom period in pro wrestling with the NWO.

I tried to think more recently but had to go with Shawn Michaels. I wasn't smart to the business during his title run and remember being crushed when Sid smashed the video camera over his back at Survivor Series '96. A few months later at Royal Rumble '97 when Shawn took his belt back, that will go down as one of my favorite moments of the era. Oh, and that D-X thing happened too.

I voted for Edge mainly because whenever he took the title off Cena or Jeff Hardy he made me a happy man.

The attraction with Stone Cold was either stemming from Vince or the belt; usually both. With the Rock however it was more about chasing the belt and entertaining e.g. Rock & Sock.
