So from what I gathered is a few people are looking for that next top guy, the next big baby face is definitely what wwe is missing and I'm glad people agree that the mid card talent is there, the only thing is that I do believe punk was really close to becoming that guy, but he was booked incorrectly as a face and I have no idea why they turned him heel when he's accomplishing something a baby face should have had, I just think they went in a completely different direction with punk and it led to a stale route, but what's done is done, we just need that guy who can hopefully reach what punk was very close to doing.
It's obvious we need the anti hero, who is aiming to change the system of wwe who is giving the fans the adult alternative to cena, Austin just rebelled against his boss, the next person needs to rebel against the whole system, if they can get that storyline right then we will have our next top guy...by the way cm punk was close at the very beginning of his money in the bank run...

Truth is, today the people are far better in ring than before - except Cena and Ryback.

But todays story lines suck, you cannot be a character if the storyline is equivalent to see spot run. Otherwise, you become John Cena, a tacky and foolish grinning idiot.

Doesn't matter as no one will never know since creative will continue to bury the entire roster every single week.

But for what it's worth, if there was such a thing as a reboot, a lot of these guys could have been great. Anyone who has been around longer than a year has had their credibility too far shredded to ever come back from, though. Thanks :cena

9 out of the 10 reactions here can all be lead back to the creative team. Things just get lame because they want to catter to the kid's. But the WWE forgot that , that edgyness got them over.. I just wish someone in the WWE with some power has the balls to kick Cena in the nuts and kick him right out of the door.

WWE has some much talented wrestlers and entertainers. But no they just hold on to Cena. And i'm not even a Cena hater.

I agree with you OP.

You got:

Del Rio - I dont like him that much but for the latina fanbase he is needed and loved.
Wade Barret - talented brit
Antonio Cesaro - One of my new favs. He is absolutely awsomesauce in the ring. Shame they waste him with a stereotypical foreign gimmick.
D Bryan - He is great in the ring. He showed us that with his matches against Punk. Is wasted in the tag team division. Could be dangerous for the future.
Riley -he have the looks, just get him to improve more in the ring etc and we got ourselves a superstar
Big E Langston - could be a new big wrestler ala Mark Henry/Ryback/Brock.
Cody Rhodes - he still got some years left and if just pushed right he could be something.
Damien Sandow - My fav of the new blood. He have the charisma, the in ring skill and the mic skill. Also, he have a great gimmick.
Dean Ambrose - Promising talent that got much of it all.
Ziggler - I didnt actually know if I would put him in this list first, he is quite old, been in the biz for a long time. If he just stays healthy thou, he got some fine years infront of him.
CM Punk - He have more years to give. With his attitude he could leave in a near future thou.
Evan Bourne - If he just stops with the drugs. Hes a much needed high flyer and got the looks.
Heath Slater - yeh he got that charisma. Hes just a bit thin thou.
Jack Swagger - he got talent, loads of talent. He just sucks hard on everything around the ring.
The Usos - as a tag team they are great and they feel like a tag team.
Justin Gabriel - A fun to watch high flyer.
Kofi Kingston - As Justin, just with loads more charisma.
Roman Reigns - promising talent.
Seth Rollins - see above.
Sin Cara - If he just improved on everything. He got the mask, a great ring name, and great moves(if he didnt botch so much)
Zack Ryder - I like this guy. He showed before that hes willing to work his ass off to get more tv time. Right now thou, hes just a whining little bitch.

Another note: Get more peeps like Kofi, Bourne, Gabriel, Sin Cara and you could do something great with the ic belt, or make a new division.

I agree with your great/potential great list, except I would add Rikishi, Big Show, and BULLY RAY (he's pretty good, I think he was misjudged cuz of his look and his stutter gimmick; could've been the hated bully in WWE)

I think we can match those stars today with Cena, Punk, Sheamus, Orton, Del Rio, Ambrose, Cesaro, Ziggler, Barrett, Bryan, Kane, Big Show, Brodus Clay (not this gimmick), Cody Rhodes, Sandow, Rollins, Reigns, Johnny Curtis (well, dunno yet), Kofi Kingston, Miz, Ryback. And yeah, Kofi, Cody, Brodus, and Miz are right up there with Christian, Jeff Hardy as potentially great.

Guys reboot all the time. Fans don't care, except sometimes wrestlers just need to have the new gimmick for a substantial period of time before being pushed with it. Undertaker from deadman-biker-deadman, Rock from a happy islander and Nation of Domination, Austin from a pretty boy blonde, Triple H was an arrogant frenchman.

Ziggler's just 32, pretty average age for someone just getting promoted to the main event. But, he's a got a full-impact style, so dunno how his health holds up in the long term.

I believe in the importance of catchphrases.

Attitude catchphrases:
"3:16 says I just whopped you're ass"
"IT DOESN'T MATTER "

vs

Current catchphrases
Punk; " I demand respect", Cena: ??, Ziggler : ???, Ryback "Feed me more"
