Barrett and Ziggler are both upper midcard talents really. Probably will win a World title to two at some point but that's it. And it's not a bad thing. Ziggler was a great U.S. and IC Champion. Better than Barrett, that's for sure.

Even if he was black and had an afro, he's like a Mr. Perfect level (yeah he looks like him but that's not the point of this comparison). Great in the ring, alright on the mic, but with that name and character it's kind of like...he needs a serious character modification to see him be taken serious as a marquee guy.

The only thing better than the World Title is the WWE Title. Ziggler isn't touching that anytime soon.

And what really separates him from someone like Cena or Orton? Cena cuts the worst promos by far and it's rare that we get a really good to great match out of him. Orton is as bland as anyone can look... shaved head, muscular, plain black tights, is a decent wrestler, HORRIBLE on the mic, lifeless. Yet, he's been insanely over with the crowd. So again, how anyone can say Ziggler isn't capable is mistaken, in my opinion.

He just loses majority of his matches and now he's been thrown in a shitty storyline with AJ Lee and Big E. Langston. Sad.
Cena is far more charismatic that Ziggler, has a more marketable look, looks like he can kick someone's ass, and is light years away from Ziggler on the mic. Cena's promo content is god awful but his delivery can't be denied. Plus, Cena's delivers when it comes to big time matches. Plus he's been having a lot of good TV matches for some time now.

Orton has got one of the best looks on the roster. Orton's a really good and puts on good matches all the time. He's a monotone robot on the mic now, but he killed it in his heel days. You give Randy Orton a heel turn and he'll blow Ziggler out of the water. Plus he' really charismatic (no matter what some of the people here say...he wouldn't have become the top heel of the company or get the pops he does without a buttload of it).

You don't have to like these guys, I certainly don't, but you can't write off their talents. I'm a fan of Ziggler, but he has in no way shown he's better than either of the guys you've mentioned.

I think he's destined for upper midcard which is the World title level, I don't see him breaking that glass ceiling and becoming more than that. I actually thought they were onto something post TLC with the removal of Vickie but for them to only align him with AJ was a real step backwards which leaves him in the same situation he was prior, with AJ and even Big E now being given the mic (and from what we saw on RAW even calling the shots at times) he could end up being the 3rd wheel in his own stable. :uhoh

The way to go was to not turn AJ heel but debut Big E and have him as Ziggler's muscle (just standing in the background looking tough type he was when he first debuted) leading him to gain further wins with Big E and its wrestling booking 101 with were you can go from there.

Big E and AJ actually get heel heat. Ziggler is the only one not holding his own in that group.

Zigler is way more of a complete package over Bryan. NOT EVEN CLOSE. Bryan is so ridiculously overrated on here it's sickening.

Daniel Bryan has zero charisma? I think some of you Daniel Bryan haters underrate Daniel Bryan so much. Truth is Daniel Bryan has risen up the ranks faster in his 3 years in WWE, than Ziggler has in his 8 years.

Nope, nope, nope. I love Bryan, and I love how he's been handled for the last yr (the 2nd coming of Kurt Angle). But Ziggler's better. You want a small, cheating escapist as your world champion? Dolph Ziggler. He should've won MITB and cashed in on Big Show a yr ago, and he should've lost to Sheamus at Mania. Had Bryan/Sheamus been an actual match, I'm sure Ziggler/Sheamus would have been better. Ziggler is such a great entertainer, and is just soooo good at making his opponents look good. A lot of veterans say that today's wrestlers "don't know how to tell a story," that its just pretty moves over and over, that there's no difference between good and bad. Ziggler is precisely the opposite of this in how well he plays the heel: evasive, selling, cheating, talking talking talking (even while in the ring) despite your 'suckiness' in the ring. Bryan did a great job with the strap, don't get me wrong, but Ziggler would've been better. Ziggler surviving those matches with Big Show and Mark Henry would have been pure gold. I don't think there's a better in-ring actor today than Ziggler, and I think only Rock was better in how emotionally expressive he is every single moment.

Did you not watch Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus at Extreme Rules? It was one of the best PPV matches of 2012 and better than any Sheamus vs Ziggler matches I have seen so far. Also you can't prove that ziggler would have been better if he were to take Daniel Bryans spot as World Champion. Because first of Daniel Bryan developed a character that made him over. He sold T-shirts and gets/got some of the best crowd reactions. That alone proves Daniel Bryan did his job as a main event level competitor and got his character over like any guy that is given the spotlight should do. Daniel Bryan also helped develop AJs current character. I don't see how you can say Dolph Ziggler would have done a better job at playing Daniel Bryans character as World Champion, especially since Daniel Bryan got the character over pretty big.
