Orton has got one of the best looks on the roster. Orton's a really good and puts on good matches all the time. He's a monotone robot on the mic now, but he killed it in his heel days. You give Randy Orton a heel turn and he'll blow Ziggler out of the water. Plus he' really charismatic (no matter what some of the people here say...he wouldn't have become the top heel of the company or get the pops he does without a buttload of it).

You don't have to like these guys, I certainly don't, but you can't write off their talents. I'm a fan of Ziggler, but he has in no way shown he's better than either of the guys you've mentioned.
it's just funny to me how "look" is so important even to fans. As long as a guy can entertain, who cares how he looks?

"Cena's promo content is god awful but his delivery can't be denied"

isn't that the whole point? sure his delivery is fine I guess, but I'm a bit old to enjoy someone with a stupid smile on his face screaming "yayyyy!!! wiener jokes!!" or even spray painting "tehe my opponent likes poopy" back when he was feuding with JBL. The guy is overrated and too many people cut him slack when he can't even touch guys like Ziggler... you know, guys who can actually execute their own moves accurately, take their own promos seriously, and guys who don't have the mind of a 9 year old. What makes you think that Ziggler wouldn't deliver in a big time match? has he even been in many?

As for Orton, once again you proved my point. He was a lot better back in 04, but that doesn't mean he's the same guy right now. Walking at a snails pace to the ring, constantly squinting his eyes, devoid of any actual facial expression, monotone voice, DECENT wrestling ability. I mean, he's definitely watchable but how on earth do fans illustrate him as this untouchable guy? why is Ziggler not capable of being in the same league as someone who isn't even that spectacular? Ziggler looks pretty damn good to me when he's in the ring with these two. He's just booked to look like a total loser.

WHC is great for him right now. Zigglers time will come for the big one in the future.

Re: Ziggler deserves better than the World Title.

I think his current run feels bloated. Adding AJ and Big E. Langston at the same time just feels like they're overdoing it, in my opinion. Dolph and AJ alone would've been fine. But now Dolph has two people helping him and it doesn't help at all for his character. He looked weak enough on his own (not his fault).

He sold T-shirts and gets/got some of the best crowd reactions. That alone proves Daniel Bryan did his job as a main event level competitor and got his character over like any guy that is given the spotlight should do. Daniel Bryan also helped develop AJs current character. I don't see how you can say Dolph Ziggler would have done a better job at playing Daniel Bryans character as World Champion, especially since Daniel Bryan got the character over pretty big.

Re: Ziggler deserves better than the World Title.

WHC is good for him right now. Maybe in a year or two he could be considered for WWE title however he needs to fine tune his mic skills and other areas such as in ring performance.

Maybe so, but the Daniel Bryan vs CM Punk series were great.

I liked the Jericho/Ziggler match from Summerslam a lot but it wasn't even close to Sheamus vs. Bryan from Extreme Rules, in my opinion.

Re: Ziggler deserves better than the World Title.

Let me start this off by saying I'm a huge Ziggler fan.

The WHC is the perfect belt for him going forward. He's still average to good on the mic, but nothing special at this point. Being that the WHC is essentially the IC title today, it's the perfect belt for potential main eventers to move up by way of experience and exposure in promos (think Daniel Bryan). His delivery and cadence is still erratic and rushed, both of which are from nervousness that will fade with more and more mic time. He's great in-ring, has a great look and mannerisms, but is being held back by his promo ability. The only way to fix that is loosen up the scripts and push him in front of the camera more and more (by himself being optimal). If it works out, he can be bumped up into the WWE title scene after WM, but if he fails to make that main event level he can simply be cycled back down without any real tarnishing of the WHC belt.

The lack of opportunity in promos before upper midcard status is one of WWE's biggest downfalls, one they need to fix for future prospects. Imagine the Rock not getting the mic time he was afforded during the NOD.

This post is right on the money. I think the thing with Ziggler is he is *sort of* getting pushed, but it's the wrong kind. Pairing him up with AJ and some dude nobody heard of before just isn't the right plan, also, they are making it look like Big E is the better wrestler... which is obviously not true, but that's how it's playing out on TV.

But yeah, the biggest issue is his promo's... which seem to slightly get better, but simply aren't on the level they need to be at. Kind of off topic here, for as much as people hate back stage politicians, I can sort of understand why they exist. When you have someone like Ziggler losing to the Funkasaurus in 2 minutes like what happened earlier in the year, the dude should've flat out told them "no" lol.
