If they break it, all of that goes out the window & it means nothing. It would be a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad decision. Not to mention, fuck, we're not even at Wrestlemania 30 yet. You can't make another one until like Wrestlemania 50 or some shit? WWE probably won't even be alive by then. The streak should not be touched & honestly, I would be finished with it now. 20-0, retirement. Untouchable.

I can agree with this. They've built the streak as something that will be remembered forever. I'm fine with it not being broken because of the significance of it. While I do think a Cena heel turn could benefit from ending the streak as it's the only route they can go with an effective Cena heel turn, the streak is just too big to be broken at this point.

A big lol goes to people saying punk. Seriously punk ending the streak? I love him but that's not believable one damn bit!

Two options:
1.The breaker of The Streak hasn't even been born yet
2.His own son

A rising star ending the streak wouldn't get a rub. It would instead vilify and destroy his career. If a veteran ends the streak, same thing. So in short, nobody.

No wonder WWE can never win with everyone because most are just looking for some super technical explanation on why something was not done right.

At this point, no one should.

Re: If the streak was to ever be broken would you rather it be by...
I'm one of the few people that just isn't all that impressed by "The Streak". It seems like the WWE just fell into. One day someone realized: "Hey! 'Taker hasn't lost at WM yet. Let's promote the hell out of it like it was planned all along!"
I see the Streak as nothing more than a catalyst to launch a next generation superstar. If Undertaker retires 'undefeated' it will just be a wasted opportunity. Although, the great problem as already addressed in the thread, is that there really is no one currently in the WWE's possession that would benefit/deserve it.
WWE is in dire need of some huge young new talent (The modern era guys are nearing retirement age, and they haven't built much of a foundation to fall back on. Taking on The Rock and Lesnar temporarily to promote guys that are already hugely over (Punk, Cena, & HHH) and nearing retirement, doesn't help either. It's extremely reminiscent of WCW before the fall. Instead of building the future, they're cashing-in on the past.
Would I like to see someone like Sting come in for the quintessential final bout of the glory years of professional wrestling (WWF vs WCW, the TRUE end of an era)? Sure. Should he win? Doesn't really matter at his age.
