Re: WWE release Trent Baretta (POSSIBLY MORE TO COME)

realistically they had to release some guys who never being used
with how strong thier nxt roster is they need to find places on the main roster for guys like Bray Wyatt and his family and guys like Pac + El Generico won't stay long down there in nxt

I'd certainly agree. Nobody was expecting a Trent main-event run, but they could have used him far better than they did - he had a great underdog vibe going for him, and was young enough that he could have kept improving by leaps and bounds. And that's something not unique to Trent - the WWE roster is packed full of above average workers that were given up on, destroyed by incompetent booking or never got a chance.

It's never a nice thing to see someone lose their job, but with the abundance of new debuts in the past year (Sandow, Cesaro, Maddox, Rollins, Ambrose, Reigns, Big E and more NXT call-ups to come, likely) some more heads are going to have to roll.

I am very interested to see where he goes next, Barretta is a quality worker and there's deffo a place left for him in the world of pro-wrestling.

I've never heard of him, but I imagine he'd just be another midcard to jobber.

It's a shame since he was good but he hadn't been on TV in ages so I can't say it shocks me.
