The guy is still young only 25, so he might even be hired back 2 years from now.

I'd like to see him to a stint in Japan. He'll be used better over there.

You're right. He might return.

This tweet of his basically shows he is still in good terms with the company.

Even if not, it's smart. When there's only one option at the top level, you're pretty much stuck being political.

Re: WWE release Trent Baretta (POSSIBLY MORE TO COME)

It wouldn't shock me to see more guys released over the next couple of weeks... I think everyone is conveniently forgetting that WWE didn't release anybody at all in 2012 without a request (besides AW, but that's a different story). Pretty much everyone else who left last year requested their release: the Bellas, Beth Phoenix, Kharma, Tyler Reks, Maxine, I might be missing more.

I know that there's no proof, but I'm convinced that no moves were made due to Linda's Senate run, where all she had to hang her hat on was 'jobs creation.' Can't be firing guys while saying that, it's kinda hypocritical right?

All that being said, I think Trent is a talented guy & fun to watch in the ring, but he obviously wasn't going anywhere. He probably deserved better and should have been given at least a chance, but that's the way things go sometimes in WWE.

Re: WWE release Trent Baretta (POSSIBLY MORE TO COME)

All I can say is there are plenty of guys who would go before Trent Baretta if I had my way!!

Those jabronis would be:
Tensai
Great Khali
Ezekiel Jackson
JTG
Ted Dibiase
Mason Ryan

(WILL PROBABLY ADD MORE LATER )

I actually enjoyed his ring work, unlike the guys above.

Nice to know he appreciates his time there. He seemed like a cool cat who was living his dream and all that fun stuff. He's already gotten signed in a match for PWS vs Sonjay Dutt. He'll be fine on the indies for now.

Re: WWE release Trent Baretta (POSSIBLY MORE TO COME)

Trent will probably get rehired a few years from now. Remember Idol Stevens? He got released and he's now Damien Sandow. I think he'll be fine as long as no bridges are burned. A loss all the same because he had serious athletic ability. Reminded me of a young Shawn Michaels type.

As for other releases, I'm thinking -

Ted DiBiase - Hasn't appeared in about a year and I hear he wants to retire to spend time with his son.
Alex Riley - Hasn't appeared in ages and is in the doghouse.
Hunico sadly
Camacho - Can't wrestle.
Ezekiel Jackson - They finally gave up.
Percy Watson- Has potential but then they turned him serious.
