Yes, he had his chance to be a megastar, but I think he'd rather be a jobber in WWE than be a World Champion in the indies and not make enough money to pay the rent and support his kids (if he has any). Not everyone is going to be a future World Champion and just because they don't have that star potential doesn't mean they still don't have a purpose.
Ryder moves merchandise. WWE wouldn't just up and cut him. They're going to keep him as long as they can just to sell t-shirts while holding him down and not giving him a real push. If Ryder is the next to be released, then he probably wants it because he's unhappy with how he's used. He's either going to ask to be released, or purposely try to get fired with his Twitter ranting. If they wanted to fire him, they would've done it a long time ago.
Dwayne is a huge megastar. The Rock get paid based on whatever he draws. If they have to "free up" money to pay The Rock, then The Rock isn't doing what WWE paid him for.
I wasent even thinking of JTG getting to be a world champion the fact he hasent even been used properly since his cryme tyme days just shows he has failed to make it on his own as a singles wrestler. And as far as I am aware he doesnt have kids to support so he could easily earn enough on the indys
Zack Ryder's behaviour lately has been very noticeable and WWE are bound to release him. Cena clearly is the cash cow of the company and his merchandise sells alot more than Zack's so WWE really wouldnt need Zack's merchandise sales when they have Cena's. I can gurantee he will be released.
As for Dwayne come on dont you think is a coinsedance when he returns other talent get released to free up the pay roll???. Dwayne doesnt come cheap he gets paid alot more doing movies so if WWE really want him back then there gonna have to pay him the big bucks to keep him around otherwise it be bye bye Dwayne and he would be back off to Hollywood and nobody would see him in WWE ever again. Dwayne is a smart businessman from leaving the wrestling business and making alot more money elsewhere thats why he left n the first place as he knew he could get alot more money doing something that wouldnt wreck his body for life. He isnt stupid.
Defei those pics you posted wow I feel sorry for Trent he should of been a top star in WWE yet his ex somehow kissed ass backstage to get to where she is and he is released this is all wrong
Re: WWE release Trent Baretta (POSSIBLY MORE TO COME)
Really sorry to see Trent Barreta released by WWE. The guy had his own distinct personality and I liked him. I put this decision on a par with the release of John Morrison, another fine wrestler who Vince sadly let go who deserved better treatment.
Why sign a guy with a decent attitude and good rings skills and then never even give him a legitimate chance?
WWE is run by incompetent retards.
In their defense plans change. Maybe they brought him and Croft (and others like Tatsu) up to be a big part of WWECW before they decided to cancel it and Trent unfortunately became redundant. The fact that he never really got a chance isn't in of itself a sign of incompetence, maybe he just got unlucky.
Now how he managed to stay on the roster for 4 years without ever really being used on the other hand....
