Baretta was signed to a developmental deal in 2008 and first appeared on the main roster of the company as one half of the Dudebusters with Caylen Croft.
After Croft was released from the company, Baretta moved into a low level singles run, most notably getting a surprise win over Drew McIntyre in 2011.
Baretta was forced out of the ring later that year with a torn biceps, leading to a "Where's Trent" joke online amongst WWE talents, including Zack Ryder's Youtube series. Even after he recovered, he was only used sparingly by WWE.
Baretta is already booked for Pro Wrestling Syndicate over Wrestlemania weekend in Metuchen, NJ, where he will be facing Sonjay Dutt. For more, visit www.ProWrestlingSyndicate.com.
WWE RELEASES UNDERWAY
By Mike Johnson on 2013-01-11 17:24:21 We have heard from multiple sources that WWE is about to release some talents. If and when we confirm names, we will have them here. Stay tuned.
EARLY PREDICTION: Zack Ryder is released (perhaps it is no coincidence his Youtube show ended earlier today). No other person in the wrestling industry had a more drastic downward spiral over the past year.
I've just been on twitter and It seems to me that, Skyler Moon is gone aswell, She said shes finally allowed to cuss on Social Media again, So she wasn't previously? but now is? Sounds like a release to me..
Man that sucks, Trent was fun to watch in the ring albeit he did look about 13 and I don't recall any of his mic work. The guy is still young so I don't think this will be the last time we see in the 'E. Shame they dumped Croft a couple years back, I was hoping for big things from The Dude Busters!
Trent was one of my favs tbh, really fun to watch in the ring. Rather nervous about the other potential releases. Especially with Kidd being injured, I really want them to keep him. Release fucking Khali or that little midget prick.
:Rock2's Path of Destruction continues. Destroys Tyson Kidd's knee as a warning to all the jobbers and then the very next day, he starts future endeavouring them anyway :rock4
Zack Ryder is still appearing and winning matches at nearly every houseshow. He's still extremely over - TNA would take him in a flash and probably change his name to Zak Rider or something similar! Hence, they'll keep him around for that reason.
I predict:
Ted DiBiase (Rarely used and not over)
Jack Swagger (Probably on high end guranteed contract)
JTG (Nothing needs saying there)
Derrick Bateman (See JTG)
I'm thinking Zach Rider would be his name if he was ever in TNA and possibly tossed into a team or feud with Robbie E.
Some good picks there maybe Curt Hawkins also
