Pretty freaking much this. Especially the first point lol.

Damn, the crowd will really love that.

If WWE could only bring back the cruserweight title, Generico would be the top star of the division. Why? Cause the OLE song is awesome, that's why!

It's his flying all over the damn place ring-work I'm not too high on and his "Oh my God! Dangerous move! Uh? kick out? Oh God! Another big move! Uh? Kick out?" Wash, rinse, repeat.

But hey, that's what NXT is for and I don't think WWE should make the mistake (like they did with Cara) and have him skip developmental cause he needs to learn the WWE style.

With all that said, I think he'll make a fine midcard act once he tightens up the loose ends. And I know this is contradicting myself but ti really wouldn't hurt to spend the next year seriously hitting the weights. Just to get a wee little bit size.
I appreciate an honest response, and I agree with a lot of what you said here. In terms of size, he'd be smaller than a lot of WWE guys, but he's almost 6' anyways. Certainly larger than both Rey & Sin Cara.

And yes, you are correct in that the indy style of 'big move, big move, big move' will need to evolve. As others have mentioned previously, his strength as a performer is not necessarily his moveset but his ability to sell and invest the crowd in his matches. That's not something that really shows up in YouTube clips though. A little time in NXT to flesh out his moveset and use the time to get in even better shape will do him some good, as you said also.

it's not 2008 anymore so the doom and gloom is p. stupid. Punk, Claudio and Danielson have all been doing great in WWE. the cream rises to the top. yes i admit there is a small part of me that still thinks they might find a way to fuck this up, but Generico is easily the best guy on the indies with a character built perfectly for the "PG Era". either way I'm happy for the guy because he truly deserves it.

here's to hoping WWE allows him to keep his name and gimmick. I believe he's good friends with Punk, who has quite a bit of clout these days. probably wishful thinking to believe that even Punk can stop the machine from changing his name though.

he'll get over regardless. sell a bunch of masks and they can send that geek mistico packing back to CMLL.

Jeeze if they keep the Bouncing Souls song (or some version of it), the cape, the Ole chant, the look, the mask. I can totally see Generico working in the PG era. He obviously won't use the top tope brainbuster or half nelson suplex but he could still use his top rope splash. And maybe the yakuza kick? And just think of the matches they could do. VS Cesaro, Vs Bryan, VS Bourne. I'm very excited for Generico and I wish him luck. Let's hope for a surprise entrance in the Royal Rumble!!!

Any new name suggestions. Hasn't anyone started this for him yet? I'm going with Average Joe, or Masked John Doe. Yes, horrible names, but I tried. Hopeful they let him keep his name.

Punk is a Bouncing Souls fan so let's hope he pushes for Generico to keep his Ole! song.

No doubt, one of his greatest attributes.

Keep his gimmick, name and theme. Tweak his in ring style to suit the WWE. He will get over for sure.
