Your Most Hated Wrestler?

Which wrestler do you hate the most; past or present from stories outside of the ring you have heard?

For me it's Triple H. I've read various stories that he didn't want to put over others numerously, as well as having it in for The Rock. Add the fact he was in The Kliq who apparently tried to rule wrestling and take out anyone in their way. The Montreal Screwjob was his idea as well. I can't deny his talent in the ring, but it seems him being married to Stephanie helped him A LOT.

Others:

Kevin Nash - For the Kliq reasons above and being an ass when booking WCW & trying to rule the WWF when Invasion came about

Scott Hall - Kliq and stories about him being obnoxious when it came to not signing fans autographs

HBK - Not a Kliq vendetta but he was known for being a complete ass, not putting people over and faking injury as his excuse. As well as being a constant liar.

Dynamite - Bully in the dressing room and is a bitter old man.

Yours?

You're reasons for choosing HHH are unfair IMO and based on dirt sheets. HHH came up with the screwjob? Nope. He didn't make it happen either, he was a midcarder at that point. Hell, HHH was the lowest on the totem pole in the Kliq when Nash and Hall were around, and got punished for celebrating in MSG with them before they left the WWF. As for his relationship with The Rock; I've never heard really bad things about it. I'm sure HHH was jealous of Rock's popularity at one point, but he still put Rock over so it's not like he abused his power to stop Rock from being popular. And HHH is in corporate now and they've brought Rock back and put him over the biggest star of the company so I doubt HHH hates the guy. Lastly, the stories about not wanting to put over guys are rumours. Kane didn't want to be World Champ, RVD and Booker T came at the wrong time because they already knew Goldberg was coming and they wanted to keep HHH strong as the heel champ for Goldberg to beat him, which is what happened. So all in all, HHH gets a bad rep and most (ex) WWE wrestlers that are not bitter, say he's a great wrestler, likeable and loves the business.

See a guy who does deserve more hate is Hulk Hogan. If you go through his career, the amount of times he didn't put over guys and politicked his way to always being the main focus is insane.

HBK pre-2002 is a dick too, and you're right about Dynamite Kid. I only hear horrible stories about the Kid.

With HHH being in corporate and The Rock coming back is a completely different generation. I meant around 97 when Rock and Hunter were coming through and HBK was the main eventer along with Bret. As for my claim he made the Montreal Screwjob up, I may have got confused but I saw on the Hart/HBK Greatest Rivalries DVD that Hunter said he made it up

Triple H

Nothing to do with backstage stuff.

I started watching wrestling in 99 he was heel in feuds against all my favourites and I was young. Continued to hate him in late 02 and again when I started watching wrestling in 2006.

I must say though If I started watching wrestling in 96/97 I would have loved him, loved the Hunter Hearst Helmsley stuff I've been watching.

he was even worse back then, inconclusive, bland and little in-ring talent

For me personally its Ian Rotten. Like as soon as the name comes up i cant seem to spout enough hate for what a god forsaken cancer he is to the entire wrestling world. If you have not heard the "And then the bell rings" radio show with their guest Mr. Rotten you would understand my hate! (if you havent i really really implore you to listen in the link below) he basically explains in great detail the awful, nay horrible things he has done to people in the business (including raising money for a girl with cancer and keeping ALL the proceeds). I personally was a very happy man when IWA Mid South eventually burned to the ground. When hes not performing now for crowds of 3-7 people he works at a fucking taco bell, so yeah!

See my hate isnt founded in rumors, its like known fact hes a tumor on the Indy scene that just keeps comin back...

triple h, glorified Arnie wannabe, not a wrestler

Kevin Nash. Guy fucking sucks, thinks he was actually good and runs his mouth. One of the most overrated wrestlers of all time in the words of the great ric flair.

I thought this was gonna based on kayfabe. I don't hate wrestlers based on dirt sheets and what people THINK they know as far as backstage crap. Yes, Hogan and HBK are the Hitler/Mussolini of the wrestling world, eh don't really care. I was never a Hogan fan to be honest cuz he bored me in the ring, and HBK is one of my all time faves, mostly being cuz he always was so damn good in the ring. I don't care how people are outside the ring, doesn't effect their entertainment value to me to be honest.

Kayfabe-wise, as far as wrestlers I despised and booed the most when on the show, probably Hollywood Hogan during the peak of the NWO era, Triple H the first half of 2000 and John Cena his entire career. But that's a typical heel thing, they screwed over wrestlers I liked so there's that. Except Cena, he just annoyed me, first with his Marky Mark gimmick and then with his PG Bullshit gimmick. There are others but those got the most heat out of me.

I hate hogan. I hate cena. I respect them to a certain level when it comes to what they have done or achieved in the business.

I also have a strong dislike for shawn michaels. I think he is overrated by his wwe corporate buddies. Their constant propaganda that he is the best allround performer blablabla irritates me. I am not even a bret hart mark, but I think hart is better than michaels.

I also have a very strong dislike for hunter. I wanted to give him a chance after his 4 year reign of terror which almost caused me to stop wathcing completely but then he somewhat killed cm punks momentum. He even brought in his stuttering hasbeen lanternpole friend big daddy cool to feud with punk.. what a way for your new topstar to shine.

Bret is better than Shawn...and I say that as a proud Bret Hart mark. Still, both are great but it does seem during his second run, people started acting like Shawn was having classics left and right and that's not true. 2002-2004, he was not as good. He had a few great ones, but his work during his last few years was better than the first couple of years he came back. 2007 in particular, when he was put in a program with Cena, he stepped it up cuz he finally grabbed the main event spot again and from there did some of the best work of his career.

Don't hate anyone based on their life and 'stories' behind the scenes or personal. Come to think about it, I don't even hate any wrestlers with one exception that I'll get to later. I have at least a certain amount of respect for wrestlers because of the risks they've taken and how hard they work plus if they are good at their job, that increases my respect for them.

For that one exception I mentioned, it's CM Punk. Just can't stand the guy, overrated in the ring, on the mic and not that good on either. Plus his personality in real life is absolutely unlikable from what I've seen which only adds more fuel to the fire.

Totally agree about Punk, he's like a 10% version of the all-time greats. Watered down, no great image and no amazing wrestling ability. Because he's champion people go crazy about him. It says more about how the WWE is now more than what it says about him.

I really hate the character of the Big Show. I really want to change the channel every time he's on the TV screen. I know he's a good company guy and may not be a bad guy outside of wrestling but I just feel like his time is passed and he needs to go away, not be pushed as a feature guy.

Not sure if I can say I dislike anybody purely on backstage stuff. But there are people I dislike.

Orton

I could go on and on about aspects of his promos or in ring skills, or about his rumored backstage conduct. But you know, out right, I simply don't like him on my tv. I don't have a proper reason to dislike him (well, i probably do, just not one that I could rationally put together so it doesn't sound like lunatic ravings) but I'm hard pressed to watch a match with him in it.

Jeff Hardy

I gave him too many second chances. I simply had enough of riding the roller coaster. Why he's champion now is... I dunno how to describe... Why is he champion and Aeris isn't?!

Takuya Sugi

This one may be more temporary than anything depending on what happens down the road, but the whole "planting drugs in Nosawa and Shirai's luggage" incident irks me.

Hogan for me. Hate the guy. He had to get his bloody nose everywhere. When Savage first won the title, he was right there to take the spotlight. Couldn't give the audience two seconds to appreciate the new champ.

I can understand the comments about Michaels, but I do believe he's the greatest all rounder. Loved Bret too though.

Wrestlers I absoultely hate:

RVD- can't stand anything about his persona
Jeff Hardy- not beacause of VR 2011, he is a spot monkey freak show with the worst mic skills I've ever in a wrestler
Hogan- guy is a total tool, his old wrinkled ass is still taking up massive amounts of tv time and acting as if Hulkamania still exists ..brother
Scott Steiner- he just flat out sucks
