Re: Why is Hogan hated by the IWC.
Hogan is the biggest asshole in wrestling history. He kept himself over by killing younger talent. He kept coming back decades after he should already have retired. He was gigantic back in the eighties, but now he is just a hated, broken, talentless old man, riding on his leftovers

From what ive been reading you can say the same about Steve Austin, he did far less jobs than Hogan yet Hogan still gets far more heat.

What younger talent did Hogan kill?
He put over Warrior, Undertaker, Yoko, Lugar, Goldberg, Rock, and Lesnar.

Re: Why is Hogan hated by the IWC.
Some people must not have been on the internet during the NWO years in WCW. There was TONS of hate for Hogan on the internet as far back as 1998. That's when I got the internet, so that's as far back as I can go. I can't speak if there was hate for him on the internet in 1996 or 1997. But it was there in 1998 and very, very strong. Lots of people felt that he had way too much power backstage with Bischoff (which he did) and that younger guys could have gotten pushed. But yeah, there's been hate for Hogan on the internet as far back as 1998, if not longer. This isn't rocket science.

Re: Why is Hogan hated by the IWC.
The IWC is always rooting against the guys that work their way to the top and have power. They always root for the underdog, or the guys not given their fair chance. In a way the IWC represents a sort of class warfare mentality -- they hate the top guys, but always root for the guys they feel are being passed up.

Very true, everyone judges the top players because they don't want to put others over, hold others down, forever be in the clear cloudless sight, a controller, operator, schemer, not accommodating rules, but everyone is an adorable humble standoffish deferential respectful person and they wouldn't do the same when given the chance.

True, but they also turn against the underdogs when they do win the big one. Punk is a good example, so many rooted for him and then not long after Money in the Bank, tons of Punk hate started and hasn't let up. Now Bryan is where Punk was and if he won the WWE Championship tomorrow, I guarantee you the DB hate will flow.

A lot of the Punk hate stemmed from the fact that his exiting/leaving with the gold angle played out the way it did. They brought him back waayyy too early and then he got railroaded by HHH and Nash who were feuding over God knows what.
Ratings and overall production from the company pissed people off cause they were expecting some type of an overhaul in the coming months. It never happened.
I'll give you that he's proven not to be a huge drawing star, but EVERYONE has been sacrificed for the last 8 years to make sure Cena is the only one who is.
