WWE in early-mid 90s was much worse. People just bash WWE today cause this is what they're watching NOW. And they have great eras in the past to compare to. In early-mid 90s, they had no attitude era or anything to compare to(so they thought at the time that wrestlings peak was lower than what it turned out to be)

Just watch "are you serious" and look at all those terrible gimmicks from WWE/WCW in the early 90s.

LOL at anyone saying 2003 was worse than 2012. At least SD was awesome, and Raw started to improve in the 2nd half of the year with some interesting stuff each week. If not for Brock and Rock saving Raw and WWE changing stuff up at the end of the year(Shield, Miz/ADR as faces) this would easily be the worst year since 95. Worse than 07 and 09.

2009-2012 is just as bad if not worse than 1993-1996.

The product is so bad that I spend more time talking about how bad it is than actually watching how bad it is!

What?
Yes. It was one of the worst rivalries of all time because of the hype, because of the potential. That was Rock vs Cena, era vs era, it could have been the most epic stuff of that era but no, we get that boring rivalry. When you get that kind of rivalry, you don't give it to stupid french writer, you give it to the best you can found because it can make your company good again.
But if for you, having a dream match is enough, if for you, having two people whining every week about eachother is exciting, if for you, having Cena no sell every speech of The Rock was a epic moment, well yeah, maybe it wasn't mediocre

You look to now and being honest the only real established stars left are John Cena, and now of course CM Punk, Orton has been downgraded to the upper midcard, Ziggler, Sheamus etc are being groomed to be stars but are still quite abit off, how poor the current roster is, is really demonstrated with how Kane and Big Show are being used, which is so much more significantly when before they'd just job to the top guys, and most of the time the up and coming young guys. The storylines are now so child based its almost embarassing watching WWE unless your under 10, i think the Christmas episode demonstrated this the most.

My point is i think significant recruitment and dedication and commitment into making new people stars is desperatly needed, or its going to get very difficult to care, its very poor to see the WWE relying on cameo appearances from HHH, Rock and Lesnar to make the major PPV's watchable. I honestly cant think of a worst period in the last 20 years possibily more than now
Not even close. Both the wrestling and business was way lower 1995-1996, then it got way better the next year and hasn't been that bad since, not even in 2010.

Completely false. From a wrestling standpoint, 2012 was the best year since 2008. And the last 7 years wasn't a transitional period, probably just the last year or so.

I've only been watching since early 2011 and the past few months aren't the worst I've seen by a long shot, so no it's obviously not the worst ever. Only people saying it is are the people who constantly bitch about everything.

Story line wise, I would say it is pretty bad. Proof came last night. Cena and Ziggler had this massive, and well done feud, which ended with the both going for a briefcase for a World Championship shot. Then last night Cena comes out and gives the passionate speech about how he is going to enter the Royal Rumble, and he will go through whoever he has to: Big E, Ryback, The Rock... And once again become WWE Champion

Talent wise, WWE are doing pretty good: Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes, Damian Sandow, the Shield,Daniel Bryan, Wade Barrett, Antonio Cesaro all have prominent roles on the roster. While all may not reach the main event status, they could easily be plugged into a main event match and not feel out of place.

RAW is Cena, 2009 RAW and 1995 WWF were way worse for me.

2012 RAW is much better than 1995 WWF for instance. When 1995 to the Growing Pains transition to Attitude Era/RAW is War-Monday Night Wars Era/Crash T.V. in about the tail end of 1997 was happening, WCW was by far and away the superior product.
Start of 1995 to at least the mid point of 1997 for WCW, that 2 year and change run, is one of the finest, if not the finest, runs in American wrestling. And when that run was happening, WWF 1995 onwards to just before the brilliance of Foley/'Taker, Triple H, The Rock and Austin/Angry Vince was mediocre to low-point-in-company-history awful.

The competition was so superior from a bottom of the card to main event and spectacle level it just made WWF seem that much worse. Go watch 1995, 1996 WCW again. AMAZING stuff. Go watch 1995 to mid 1996 WWF. PUTRID stuff.

2012, for all the bitching I've done, is not even close to being 1995, Guest Era RAW, Triple H Royal "Reign of Terror" or Cena's never-ending run against the monster of the week on RAW.

What are you talking about? Jeff Hardy was the most over wrestler on the roster at that time. It would have been foolish not to give him the the WWE title.
