Re: Is this the worst ever period in the WWE
1995 was easily way worse than what it is now. You still had jobbing matches and raw was basically what superstars is today. Diesel as the champion with feuds with men like mabel was the absolute low point from 94 in the modern era for the wwe. Cena is a bigger star than bret of 96 as bret didn't have the luxury of wcw not breathing down wwf's neck.

2007-2010 were worst than 2012.

Or maybe it's because I was 11 at the time, I don't know.

I loved 2007, the Undertaker was phenomenal that year, and it was great seeing him win the rumble and title. But like you I was young and naive, it's about the only thing I gave any attention to, everything else could have been dreadful, and I was blind to it.

Taker and HBK were main eventers in 1996. Randy Orton was once a main eventer and multiple time world champion, but for the past year has had absolutely no direction whatsoever. He's been in the upper mid-card for around a year now. Undertaker and HBK were main eventers in 1996 and at no time in the 90s ever went back to the upper midcard.

This message shows ignorance or hate for Orton.
Randy Orton by 2012 has had feuds/fights with Cena,HHH,Undertaker,Rock,Flair,Batista,HBK, CM Punk,Edge,Mick Foley etc

I don't hate Orton at all. Randy Orton in 2012 has been an upper mid-carder. HBK and Undertaker in 1996 were never upper mid-carders. They were full-fledged main eventers. One of them (HBK) was WWF World Champion for 8 months in 1996. Orton is not the star either of those guys are.
That shows your ignorance for the WWF in 1996.

It was mediocre, that's all and there is no excuse to this. The booking was bad because it was bad

Re: Is this the worst ever period in the WWE
Yes. Worst period for actual characters (there are like 4 on the whole roster), worst period for storylines, worst period for wrestling being relevant in mainstream media. in fact, the only thing that is the "best ever" of this period is production.
And to those saying "transitional period". 2 years ago people were saying it was a transitional period. I would agree with that. They are no longer in a transitional period, it's just the result of the period sucks.

Re: Is this the worst ever period in the WWE
This last year has been generally awful. Fans want to watch the in-ring action, not dumb-ass, macho comedy routines from blown up, over-muscled guys who should be kept well away from comedy routines for which they are ill fitted. We very rarely see top quality wrestling matches of the kind that made stars out of guys like Dave Smith and Bret Hart, who were the outstanding performers when WWE was at its height.
