Eh, I like A.J. but C.M. Punk has literally been the WWE Champion for the entire year, so if there's a 2012 MVP, it's him by default, I think. Sheamus has actually had a really strong year too. He won the Royal Rumble, won the World Heavyweight Title at Wrestlemania & has had some pretty good matches this year, with the likes of The Big Show, Antonio Cesaro & Dolph Ziggler. His babyface promos are terrible though.

Does she sell t shirts? Are they at the top of the sales for merchandise? If not, then NO.

It's all about the money.

Reverse Midas touch all the way on this one. Everything she touches turns to fecal matter. Absolutely nothing, repeat, NOTHING involving her this year has been good.

You may also want to wise up and realize that she didn't become the angle, as you put it, because of her personality, she became the angle because she was booked to be the main character despite a) nobody wanting her in that position and b) not warranting that spot in the least. Her personality had nothing to do with it, it was planned for her to become the angle, and that's why every single angle she was a part of what such a colossal, beyond belief FAILURE.

Please mods, close this obvious troll thread. It offends my eyes.
LOL, I wish I could be as internet cool as you. Just because someone posts a controversial opinion about which you disagree, it's a "troll thread?" Grow up, and move out of mommy's basement for once.

Back to the subject matter...I'm the type of person who thinks everything is a work, but I genuinely felt that AJ overshadowing everyone was legit show-stealing, and not all pre-planned. Do you people think that WWE doesn't want a guy (i.e., Punk) to take over as the guy, before Cena's batteries run out? The fact of the matter is, but Punk cannot do it. He's been carried through his shitty title reign by the likes of AJ, Bryan, Jericho, The Rock, Ryback, Paul Heyman, etc.

A.J. Lee actually made me interested in a Punk's feud (something that only The Rock has been able to do).

So she was responsible for the worst match at Mania, watering down what should have been the smark's feud of the decade, giving a reason for more Vickie airtime, the worst GM reign of the year (yeah, worse than Teddy) and stopping Ziggler being Ziggler?

Sounds lovely.

So you post a thread full of material with no evidence to back it up, make up a bunch of 'facts' (like saying she became the angle because of her personality), and generally talk out your ass, and when someone calls you on it, your only defense is to insult them and call them a nerd, basically. Gee, and if it wasn't already obvious that you're trying to bait people into arguments...

No, I don't think they want Punk to take over, because if they did, they'd have booked him like they gave a fuck and at least had an idea of what they were doing. They didn't, so its been boring.

And at last, the true purpose of this thread emerges. Take note, fellow posters-this is actually an "I hate CM Punk" thread in disguise. I'll sum it up in 25 words or less-"CM Punk is so bad that AJ is better than him." There, that's the point of this whole thread.

If you truly believe in your heart of hearts that AJ stole the show in any way, shape or form, and if she did, that it had anything to do with her charisma, talent, acting ability or personality, then do yourself a favor. Hop in your car, drive to the nearest emergency room, ask to be transferred to the mental health wing and voluntarily check yourself in for the next indefinite period of time, because you're liable to start cutting your wrists next. That's how out of your mind you sound.

She has charisma far beyond most of her male colleagues. I just hope that the writers think of angles for her which entail more than just her kayfabe sleeping with the whole locker room. It would also be cool for her to get into some real wrestling feuds. It's a shame they didn't keep Kharma. AJ and Kharma would have been gold.
Seriously son? AJ in my opinion is one of the major reasons for all the fuckery this year.

How much more do you want them to spoon-feed him? The guy has been WWE champ for over a year (without being a draw). If he wants to be the man, he has to perform and entertain to that level. Period.

Ooh, another cheap shot (yet I'm the one who resorts to insults). So to disagree with you is to be mentally ill? Ok, got it. Thanks.

If AJ was really WWE most valuable superstar then I fear the worst for professional wrestling

AJ is far from being the MVP of 2012 in the WWE. That award goes to CM Punk.

However, AJ had a great year in 2012 as she's been pushed as the top female of the company this year. It's also different that we see a female get involved in upper mid-card and main event storylines with other wrestlers like in the Punk/Bryan/Kane feud, and in the Cena vs Ziggler feud. AJ has been pretty solid this year, and for me, her best work this year was in the Punk/Bryan/Kane feud, in which she played the crazy chick character perfectly. As Raw GM, she was decent. I liked her internal purpose for being the Raw GM at beginning, which was to gain revenge on Daniel Bryan, but then she started to get a bit boring. The worst AJ has done so far this year was in the affair storyline with John Cena and Vickie Guerrero. Her speech from when she had to step down as the Raw GM seemed cheesy, and the affair storyline was never good to being with, however AJ has become more intresting again since pairing with Dolph Ziggler. It seems that AJ's mic work is much better when she's a heel and a tweener, rather than when she's a face.

Um no. I think AJ is great, one of the more impressive divas in a long time and not nearly as bad as her haters say, but this thread/thought is laughable at best.
