I can. THQ was going broke, so they skimped or skipped on the testing and QA before release. They just wanted something on the shelves, they cared little about quality.
Understandable, but a little weird. If I was in their shoes, I would be trying to produce the best game possible and pin all my hopes on it instead of sitting back fooling myself that a buggy game would be enough to get people to actually stick with my company.
Wrestling fans have degenerated to the point of arguing about video game sales.....*sighs* Jesus H. Christ...what's next arguments over WWE The Music album sales? Trading cards? How low can we possibly go?
On topic: I haven't played '13, but I did play '12 and it was merely alright. There was a ton of issues from the shitty universe mode, to the weak GM style mode. Also word on the boards is that THQ has been in financial trouble for at least a year now and have been struggling with pushing titles. So this is no real surprise to anyone.
Im starting to wonder if people here have actually played 13, i've seen maybe 2 glitches and those are going to be fixed with a patch at some point. WWE 13 has some of the smoothest gameplay i've seen in a long time, and the only complaint i have is the poor commentary outside of the AE mode.
Sadly I've played 13 and I literally don't think I've gotten through a match without some kind of bug. Even aside of glitches, it was obvious that THQ did jack-s**t to make the game good outside of AE Mode. Some of their character models are just god awful (Booker T, Beth Phoenix for starters), they screwed up the littlest details (Kane's pyro going off at the wrong time), the lack of game modes (I may have hated RTWM but at least it had something about it that kept you playing. Once you get AE Mode done, there is almost no replay value for me and Universe Mode bores me to tears).
Just another shitty run videogame company. Seems only idiots own stock in these garbage companies. Wish ttwo shareholders would class action that junk for their losses and refusal of buyout
Please god no. EA fuck and screw over the fans of it's biggest cash cow (FIFA) year on year.
That said, whoever makes the game next year will have to make it exceptional. Bugs are in video games every year for a reason, to make you buy next year's version for a fix. Hard to do that if you screw up your first attempt, so it's highly likely ill buy next year's game.
And we might just get next gen graphics on the next one. For example, Chris Jericho in SvsR '08 looks more realistic than the WWE 13 counterpart.

After the debacle with THQ's servers on WWE '12, I've blacklisted them until a new company takes over WWE games. It was a very frustrating experience that lasted the entire year and I have no desire to give THQ another penny. Especially them providing Attitude era Kane as DLC as a phoney reward for "being patient", even though they were probably going to offer that DLC anyway. THQ really pissed me off and I don't typically boycott an entire video game company. I do hope another company takes over WWE games but also a different developer since Yukes has failed to evolve its WWE games.
Number of sub 3.0 ratings = 50 shows and counting
Number of collective yawns per week everytime he's on the screen = 3 million
Number of bankrupted companies = 1 and counting
