Re: THQ goes broke, owes WWE $45 million

wwe games have sucked since smackdown vs raw 2007, i have not realy enjoyed it from then on, especially because they changed a lot of the buttons, and svr 2007 had season mode where you could pick just about any wrestler and get different storylines from them, with the introduction of wrestlemania mode it was very limited single player time, you could beat all stories in 3 days. I think wwe 13 is a decent game, but im glad they will change. The online in my opinion is very poor as well since svr 2007 i remember svr 2009 people were always glitching and cheating to win such as doing glitches where your player couldn't move. from then on i didn't really buy there games didn't get wwe 10 and wwe 11, p.s i was also ranked top 100 in svr 2007 online rankings a long time ago when i was younger.

EA Games or Rockstar is what WWE should shoot for to pick up the video game franchise.

Re: THQ goes broke, owes WWE $45 million

WWE '13 has been a poor game overall...

I can't believe that this game made it past testing with the amount of obvious bugs/glitches that there are. From 2 Counts not happening on regular Pins outside of the 'Attitude Era Mode' to the 'Jumping Clothesline' Created Finisher dealing 100% damage to the entire body, it just seems like THQ just half-assed everything except the 'Attitude Era Mode'..

Honestly though, if they somehow pull through this Bankruptcy (Which I highly doubt) I'd happily buy WWE '14 if it was just a remake of this game but with all the faults fixed. '13 honestly could have been one of the best WWE games to have come out since HCTP if it had been tested properly and the main bugs had been removed as soon as was possible instead of them finding out about them a month later!

Assassin's Creed publisher Ubisoft is reportedly one of the top candidates interested in purchasing THQ's assets, following the company's bankruptcy filing this week. Sources have told MCV that the French publisher has shown interest in buying THQ's wholly-owned studios and franchises.

THQ's internal studios include Relic Entertainment, Volition, THQ Montreal, and Vigil Games. Some of the companies biggest properties are Saints Row, Red Faction, Homefront, Metro, and Company of Heroes.

This is not the first time Ubisoft has publicly acknowledged interest in THQ's properties. Last month, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said, "They have good things. We are always interested in good brands. For sure, it's something we can consider, but I can't tell you more."

MCV's sources say Ubisoft has held "lengthy discussions" with THQ to get a deal done. One of the main sticking points in the negotiations, according to the sources, is that of price. Ubisoft is reportedly interested in a "bargain buy," and will hold out until THQ decides to sell specific properties instead of a total package.

Representatives from THQ and Ubisoft were not immediately available to comment.

I can. THQ was going broke, so they skimped or skipped on the testing and QA before release. They just wanted something on the shelves, they cared little about quality.

Re: THQ goes broke, owes WWE $45 million

Im starting to wonder if people here have actually played 13, i've seen maybe 2 glitches and those are going to be fixed with a patch at some point. WWE 13 has some of the smoothest gameplay i've seen in a long time, and the only complaint i have is the poor commentary outside of the AE mode.
