Default Stephanie to blame?

Does Stephanie McMahon Levesque, the head of the creative, deserve the majority of the blame for the lacklustre shows so far?

Team Steph leading the charge since November 2000 and thus starting the steady decline over the years. Making her billionaire father into a millionaire.

I do have one question for anyone who might feel that Dwayne Johnson "owes" the business. Is it just him, or is it anyone who moved on to other things? Should Luna Vachon get heat for running a towing company instead of working on RAW? Should Maven be critiqued on his Home Shopping Network bits instead of wrestling?

Or is it only the ones who go on to highly visible careers in movies that owe something? Why do Johnson (who left after putting people over, doing the traditionally "right thing") and Lesnar (who did not; except for making Eddie a legitimate star) get called sell-outs who "forgot where they came from" when someone who retires to do some regular job get credit (as they should) for moving on and making it without falling into a sea of addiction?

What exactly does she do? Does she write the show or green light stuff? I hear Vince does the green lighting tho.

That's the problem with hiring your relatives. You can't fire them. I don't want Steph to be fired she's done a lot for the company but it's like football managers. When things go wrong they get sacked.

I actually think she started in 2001 after Wrestlemania. But yeah, I agree with this.

Yes she does.

She stinks. She's the one who created the current Cena persona, she's the one who forced Heyman out of the writing room. Just as CM Punk is a Paul Heyman guy, AJ Lee is a Stephanie McMahon girl.

And sure Vince may get the final say (and to be honest I'm not as sure as some people that this is as prevalent as it used to be), but psychologically it's much more difficult to say no your idea stinks and we're going to change it to your own flesh and blood offspring than some random porker you're paying a paycheck to.

Only in WWE land can you fire a clown such as Gerwitz and actually take a step backwards. Thanks to Steph.

Sad thing is the only normal member of that Manson like family who probably would have done one hell of a job running the company is Shane...who smartly wants nothing to do with it.

A former writer once said in an interview that Steph prefers Hollywood writers than the writers who know about the business

That way she can keep her job.

No one can challenge her. She can simply say oh what do you know, I grew up here, you only know Hollywood.

It's a diabolical and brilliant actually. She suffers no blame. When the writing sucks she can say, well not my fault, it's those Hollywood writers who don't know anything about the product.

Nice, now, she really needs to get the F out of the WWE. She should do her own project like Shane ( who looks like a perfect boss. Don't really know why but I just think he is )

People don't realize that it took 2 years for Team Steph to cut their domestic business in more than half from when she took charge over Kreski . The only thing that was propping up this company for the decade was Shane's department helping grow relationships with the outside world and saving this company with expansions in the global market that carried them through the 2000's. That more than any pushed star in the Cenas, Batista, Ortons of the world that kept the company's revenue above the red line. And even those markets are now eroding with only The Rock saving them the past 2 years in giving Mania a boost and preventing a net loss for the years.
