Ric Flair in 2005. Was it his last good year?

In the beginning of the year he was a member of the great Evolution stable. Later in the year he feuded with HHH including matches at Survivor series and Taboo tuesday.

I didn't like Flair when he first came to the WWE in 2001. And I really didn't like him after 2005.

What do you think was he still good or decent in 2005?

Fine as a special attraction. The only time I think he shouldve been in the main event is when he was fighting for his career. They couldve had him fight for the title and it end in a no contest or he wins by dq. But I think it wouldve set up a hot main event.

I thought he was great in Evolution as a cheating manager. It was SOOOOO appropriate. As an in ring wrestler. No - just no.

I have always been a big fan of Ric Flair and place him as one of the top three greatest all round in ring performers of all time but if i am completely honest the last good year Ric Flair had as an actual wrestler was 1996 or 1997 although 2005 was his best year from when he returned in 2001.

His last good year was about 1995.

He was awful in his WWE run and got carried through every feud.

His retirement match with HBK is still one of my favorite Flair matches so...no.

Yes indeed. After the Evolution feud was over, it was pretty 'meh' from there on.

Pretty sure he made Evolution what it was, and did you seriously expect Flair to carry feuds at this point in his career? No, he was too busy getting guys over.

TLC vs Edge in early 2006 was pretty impressive for someone his age.

At 60+ I'd rather watch Flair compete than 95% of the current roster.

Nah, his last good year as a wrestler was like 1992 or 1993 imo. He had an awesome match with HBK at Mania 24 though.
