Yes but it also needs intensity and when a match is a steelcage match, falls count anywhere or any other type of no DQ stipualtion there just has to be blood.

Re: Jim Duggan says Wrestling Doesn’t Need Beer-Swilling and Middle Finger Gestures

look at the state of current product now..it's so damn fucking PG, the reason why what you call it hot in Attitude era is edginess and i'm not talking about dumb stupid segment like Mark Heny/Mae Yung crap...the characters was based on society like Godfather and his hoes where he actually run some strip joint at Las Vegas or Val Venis Porn Star.

Middle finger and Drink Beer is part of Stone Cold character which we love, he always fucking heel but it turn into bad ass character...

these old guys out of touch with reality...

Duggan's bitter, and has a history with Austin, but really how big of a draw was Duggan? Sure, he won the first royal rumble, but claiming wrestling didn't need beer drinking and middle fingers? Sure sold our more arenas than carrying around a 2x4 and yelling "Ho!"

Duggan did buried Austin 2 straight in the fucking row from what i know off in WCW...first match was no more than 15 second, on of quickest match in history of wrestling. AUstin got fired after that while we could have been on WCW main event.

Re: Jim Duggan says Wrestling Doesn’t Need Beer-Swilling and Middle Finger Gestures

'''First off, I think Duggan is right.

But I have a question. What makes a wrestling show "adult oriented" and "family oriented"? Because based on what I read all over this site has made me come to a conclusion.

My conclusion is, that what you guys consider "adult entertainment" is actually more immature than "family entertainment". In many ways, the PG Era (PG is a stupid name for an era, especially considering the fact that WWE has been PG for YEARS) is indeed mature entertainment. Meanwhile, there are plenty of things that are the epitome of the Attitude Era and they are extremely immature.
