Such a waste that they didn't make Trevor Murdoch the best heel back then

He was plain and bland while teaming up with Lance Cade. But after they get separated, when he went solo, with his movie reviewer gimmick, he impressed a lot of people including me with his promos.

Honestly, his southern redneck slang ridden promos remind me of heel Austin back in the days. He could be a real threat to John Cena and the Undertaker back then, but the WWE blew it up. He could even pull off a canadian destroyer for such a big man. I know he was fat, but aren't fat wrestlers good heel? Such a waste of a talent.

He wasn't that cool Samoan kind of fat like Rikishi or Yokozuna. He was just potbellied with chicken legs. I loved Cade and Murdoch, but Trevor definitely wasn't a main event talent.

I seem to remember him being lined up to feud with Ric Flair, randomly.

A lot of people thought highly of him I remember, and I'm sure he could have dropped some of the weight if asked. The character looked better with the weight, and I'm sure WWE wouldn't have used him if they believed his weight was an issue.

Still didn't suit the Canadian Destroyer though.

I liked him back then, where is he now?

He was a great throwback heel. Whether or not he won belts would be irrelevant as long as he stayed a threat. He had the in-ring ability to be in a better spot than he was.
