It must be one of those things where the Burning Hammer was too similar to Cena's own move.
People shouldn't be surprised "nice guy" John is really a dick. Just about every top star Vince has had (barring The Rock) was in some way an asshole.
Cena's not really being an arse hole here, he's just protecting his own image which is perfectly reasonable seeing as he's a veteran and the top guy in the entire industry.

But was it necessary to yell at him about it and threaten to get him fired?

How is he not being a dick head? He yelled at him then said he'd get fire. Yeah, totally not being a dick head.
Spot on you are. What a miserable human being he is to help that many children, yet still find the time to 'allegedly' be a dick to some of his peers.
Honestly, some of you guys and your choice of words. So he's not to friendliest motherfucker around in a pretty unfriendly industry. Astonishing. Why not leave those descriptions to people whose past and possibly current actions befit the terms 'piece of human trash', 'utter scumbag', 'lowest of the low', etc. I'm not above having a go at celebrities who do bring certain instances upon themselves due to their brazenness and so forth (guys like Punk being a great example), as well as more extreme examples of degeneracy like 90's Shawn Michaels (who really was a degenerate, going by all accounts). However, some of the descriptions floating on the forum around like who people 'legitimately' hate, mean people like Cena and Punk being classed with murderers and psychopaths/sociopaths, and so forth is a trifle startling. We have certain levels of disdain for the things people do, like Edge and Batista doing some shifty things behind their wives backs, all the way through to Benoit murdering his family and New Jack wanting to murder people, but at least be reasonable with your levels of disdain. Common sense, please!
If only hearing tiddle-tail stories about certain pro wrestlers from co-workers get under your skin, then I'd hate to see how some of you would react in a real life situations, with a real life 'scumbag' in your face.
Yeah maybe we should cut the smack on Cena, because he isn't a murderer. Nice one bro! Or maybe we should use some light insults or even Cenaesque ones like poopy. How is that?
Tell me exactly why shouldn't I classify him with the other garbage on this planet when he is a fake asshole who abuses his position and comes out to the world as a fucking saviour?
People will be people, maybe you shouldn't worry so much of who uses which world and if someone overreacts... like you don't.
