this has got to be 1 of the best segments on raw....i cant stop laughin every 2 secs...shawn acting is brillaint especially with the bret hart theme comes on...his face is priceless lol...suprised though shawn didnt get jumped by the fans lol
1) I wish Bret would have come out when his music hit. Don't get me wrong, it was hilarious that HBK faked out the crowd, but it would have been a moment for the ages if Bret came out and faced HBK face to face to give us a Bret vs HBK match at SummerSlam. Too bad Bret wasn't able to wrestle anymore. That really sucks.
2) As great as this interview and the one with HBK on Larry King imitating Hogan is, I wish we could have somehow of seen the HBK of 1997 in a feud with Hogan. Hogan complained about the mic work Shawn did in this feud, meanwhile it was all scripted from the writers. Shawn never went off script in these Hogan promos to take a cheap shot at him (like he did with Bret and "Sunny Days.") It shows you how sensitive Hogan is. If he has a beef with anyone over the promos in this feud, it should be with Vince. And the reason I wish we saw the HBK of 1997 in a feud with Hogan is because the HBK from back then would have went off script and buried this dinosaur in ways even more epic than these relatively tame promos (compared to the HBK of '97). Terry would have had a heart attack. You have to have ALOT of nerve to bitch about the promos when you're at home for the entire feud shooting a "reality" show. And people wonder why HBK over-sold in that match. It wasn't just because Hogan refused to have the re-match he originally agreed to, to return the job. It was also because he was bitching about the promos while he was at home! What nerve.

Hogan was never supposed to job in the return match at Unforgiven, it would have been a steel cage match with Hogan barely escaping through the door after getting systematically destroyed by HBK, perhaps a SCM with Hogan falling out the door ?
Hogan apparently said this would make his character look weak and cited knee injuries as an example of why he wouldn't do the rematch. I love ya Hogan, but you're the most full of shit wrestler there has ever been.
"He's not the biggest. He was never the strongest. He was never the fastest. He was overlooked. He went in the sixth round. So with that being said, all of the intangibles that a quarterback is supposed to have, they overlooked it with him because it was burning from inside of him" - Ray Lewis on Tom Brady
Heel HBK was one of the greatest characters of all time, from his post-Rocker era to his DX stuff to his brief run during his feud with Hogan. A pity he pretty much wanted to remain face throughout his entire post-2002 run except for a brief few months.
