Cena is a good guy, his charity work is amazing considering the road schedule he must be on

Re: John Cena does it again

Although I am NOT a fan of John Cena, even I have to say that they built him so extremely big that they just cannot make him a heel that does "mean stuff and bullies people", as kids would probably put it. Not just because of his ability to sell merchandise, but also because of those disabled and ill and diseased kids that believe in him and see a real hero in him. A real lot of his ill fans seem to gain a lot of strenght whenever they see him winning his matches and Cena getting his super powers. Vince made him an uber-star and turning him heel could perhaps result in a lot of ill children giving up, because they could then believe the man who was their hero betrayed them and turned out to be a bad man himself... I guess you get my drift here. And those ppl that want to make fun of me now because of this here post, be remembered that a lot of those kids are very young and still believe wrestling is real and they wouldn't really understand what is going on. Therefore, they could just take it to much to their hearts and probably get disappointed beyond your imagination... Maybe not the best way to help them grow some self-confidence and defeat their deseases, eh?

Re: John Cena does it again

Why is 'heel turn' the only option to revitalize the character? I don't feel that a heel turn would use his talents well, anyway. He's cheerful and charming and people love him - who wants to mess with that? Wrestlers work their whole careers to achieve that.

Re: John Cena does it again

And in the end, what will a Cena heel turn do, make the business better? Even worse, most people that complain about him point at his wrestling ability, mic work or pandering to the crowd. If he turns heel, that should remain the same. But, if they turn him heel, who will they replace him with, Sheamus? Miz? Dean Ambrose? Let the kids have their hero. It's not going to make the entire product better if Cena accepts being booed. And at the same time, if he makes sick kids wishes come true, more power to him.

Sure, somebody else could replace him but from the current roster, it's slim pickings.

Re: John Cena does it again

I think that a Cena heel turn could still happen but not for many years. There will come a day when he is no longer the main guy in the WWE, he might be well into his forties by then but it's inevitable.

If he got paid per appearance, he'd be a billionaire. Not to mention more main eventers in the past would have done it more

This one wasnt even an official appearance, the charity had nothing go do with WWE. Not to mention it would be absolutely ridiculous for stars to get paid to make CHARITY appearances for such places as the make a wish foundation

could you say the WWE used the Susan G komen foundation, make a wish and be a star for selfish reasons? yes, but the INDIVIDUAL effort thats unrelated to his high paying career by John for charity organisations not to mention sick kids. it just boggles the mind that you can think someone would be deranged enough to get paid for this sort of stuff. what sort of human being are you?

But i suppose some people have to diminish the hard work and charity of others to make themselves feel better
