I think most are missing the magnitude that Cena's heel turn would have on the youth who watches the product. Yes, it would make a significant difference. It's like if Hogan were to turn in the 80's during his hottest period. Cena would need a window, a la Hogan, when he's stale enough, or at a weakened career point, to turn heel. (waits for the mass amounts of comments about how he's been stale for 5 years even though he's still MAD over and that's my point)
My man John-boy. Doing it for the kiddies. Always got respect for what he does w/the charities.
There's always someone who can put a smile on a kids face (and so there should be). The WWE just has to give someone else a quarter of the push they've given Cena over his horrifically stale career and they can rise.
Plus the WWE needs to appeal to all demographics. They haven't for a long time. It's not as if Austin/Rock/Taker weren't doing children's charities whilst still being part of an incredibly entertaining product.
They aren't just appealing to the charity kids/kids in general for the demographic. To compare that as a reason for the product being less that stellar atm, is baffling. Besides, most of those kids request Cena anyways. If he were to take a bit of a backseat, or next to, another guy to be a top face I'm more than positive Cena would remain #1 in the children's hearts.
When are people going to get off what the rating of the show is and understand the booking/writing is the real flaw currently. It's TV PG anyways. Not TV G, or TV Y7. You'd think it was by the way people moan and groan.
