Default Once upon a maneuver24: Ankle Lock

Ken Shamrock's face showing all that wild aggression comes to mind as soon as I hear about the move. Kurt Angle to his credit made it more famous pulling it out with variation from nowhere while Jack Swagger continuing the tradition took it up from them.

It is a vary basic move when it comes to execution and is legit painful evident from it's use in MMA where you simply hold the leg with on hand for grip and twist the ankle beyond the normal range of motion.

Who had the best version of Ankle lock in your opinion from the poll and who do you think in the current roster can take it up and use it famously?

What made Ken Shamrock applying the ankle lock so good was the fact that it always looked like he was trying to rip it off. :P

Kurt made the move his own though. He is almost synonymous with the ankle lock.

The fact that kurt would pull that move out of nowhere made his matches that much more classic. He is overall one of the best wrestlers in the world

When Kurt put that lock, people actually tap out.

Shamrock. When he put it on it looked like there was no way out and guys would tap in seconds, see Vader in 1997.
Angle, to his credit, does apply it several ways OUT OF NOWHERE but stands up doing it; which I've never really liked and takes away from the move, slightly.

Kurt Angle made the move more famous imo, if Angle didn't use it you wouldn't be hearing about Shamrock's vicious ankle lock ever. Angle doesn't just do it one way either he does it all kinds of ways which makes each time unique.

Who voted for Swagger is what I am wondering.
