This is a simple way to put a superstar massively over and make the WWE and Intercontinental Titles more credible.

At WrestleMania or Royal Rumble, The Rock wins the WWE Championship. It doesn't matter, as long as he leaves 'Mania as champion. He takes the title with him to Hollywood, only fighting at a few PPV's. While this is going on, main-eventers will fight for the Intercontinental Title, which can make the midcarders look stronger. At a PPV like SummerSlam, have a superstar defeat The Rock for the title and they'll come out of the PPV a lot more over. You could even have a midcarder like Cody Rhodes go over Rocky and finally make him a star.

It'd be a nice idea but I wouldn't have Cody. Problem is, I really cannot think of anybody else who could beat Rock for the title other than your Cenas and Punks.

As many have said before a lot of the wrestlers have now become bigger than the belts. Mostly due to awful bookings and focus.

So for WWE to give up the one belt that still has some cred left is just daft.

I think this could work, to be honest. The Intercontinental Championship will have more added value to it aswell as adding more credibility to the superstar that defeats The Rock for the title.
