The Rock for me. He's now at the top of the world, higher than any other wrestler.
After reading his 2000 autobiography I am incline to agree. The Rock went from hauling a matress out of a dumpster while trying to break into the CFL in Calgary to being on the Forbes list taking the buisness he was born into to new heights. Unbelivable really.

Goes to a ECW and gets noticed by WWE
Revolutionises the industry
Destroys the company that fired him
This is stuff of legends

Rock went from being a homeless failed CFL to arguably the biggest star the industry has ever seen. He survived the terrible first gimmick given to him, achieved everything he wanted to in the ring so went and conquered hollywood.
When he started he had nothing and last year he earnt $33million....thats a pretty great story
Edge is the ultimate boyhood dream story. A huge fan growing up, sat at Wrestlemania VI dreaming of making it big. As soon as he could he started training and touring US and Canada to build experience. Got to the WWE and along with his best friend formed one of the best teams in history. He then breaks out only to break his neck but comes back stronger and finally reaches the top and becomes the best heel in the business at that point. He won the tag titles with his idol, mainevented Wrestlemania with the Undertaker and retired as world champion...a great story
Not sure what you are asking here, If you mean people who had a hard live but yet managed to make it to the top then Batista is a great shout, he lived in poverty and got estranged from his parents when he was 17 and was pretty much by himself from that point on, before he got into bodybuilding he was stealing cars working small time jobs just live.
He wasn't give much of a chance in his year life but when the time cam to make something of him self he took it, now he's a star in the wrestler world, written a book and been in a few films.
Booker T, The Rock (went from 7 dollars in his pocket to being the most successful wrestler of all time) , Foley ..

I would pick Edge's story over Rock.
Rock was extraordinarily talented especially his mic skills while Edge was just average in all departments.
Rock is perhaps the biggest success story in pro-wrestling but if I were to make a movie on any wrestler;I would prefer someone like Austin,Edge,CM Punk,Batista,Cena over Rock just because Rock happens to be a third generation star,just to show that their struggles were tougher.
