Default The Grim Possibility

Since Disney has recently bought entertainment giants, Marvel and Licasfilms, what if WWE would have the same fate too?

This thread might sound crazy but hear me out. The scenario would be after Vince passes away, WWE top management and the board would most likely have a difficult time managing the company's future. Judging the backstage heat we keep on hearing right now, it seems the company's losing direction and having a hard time planning what's best for the future. Paul Levisque and Stephanie taking over? HA! Taking over a multi-national company is wayyy harder than anyone thinks.

I really think the possibility Disney or any other big-time entertainment giant is not far-fetched.

Disney screwing WWE? Disney screwing us wrestling fans? This grim possibility is leaving me speechless.

I wanna hear your thoughts and feelings about this.

I'd never say never, but a "resounding no" should be an option. I also don't think Disney would see WWE as fitting for their corporate image.

I wholeheartedly agree.

There's really nothing about WWE that I would think a company like Disney would find appealing. It certainly wouldn't fit with thier image in any possible way. Then again, if Disney were to buy them as a holding company, yet opperate WWE as an independent being, it might actually have possibilities. I don't see why Disney writers could do any worse than the Hollywood writers they're using today.

I say no to Disney, but WWE will be bought, somewhere in the future nonetheless.

Money is everything, right?

I can't actually see that happening. Sure, WWE is an Entertainment Business (and Disney deals in Entertainment) but Wrestling? I don't see it. The least they could expect would be to get into some sort of deal with WWE Film Studios, but I don't see them purchasing the Wrestling side of any business.
