After that monstrosity of a crowd at Hell in a Cell, it got me wondering, has there been crowds that have been worse than that? We all know the best crowds (NYC, Chicago, Philadelphia, Montreal, London) but what are the worst?

Forgot 3 letters somewhere in there? ;)

I don't remember specific cities/towns, but in general I hate it when you really NOTICE that there's no pops or chants. That Brian Christopher entrance always comes to mind. :lol

The Florida crowd was NOT atypical.

People should really stop bringing it up as evidence that Miami has a great crowd. It was full of fans from all over the world who bought tickets to WM and most of whom also bought tickets for RAW the next night. It was filled with international flags and adult males.

Any other time in Miami that isn't after a WM held in the same city is going to suck ass or be average. It was not the wrestling fans of Miami who were fanatical, it was the hordes of international and domestic fans that bought tickets and traveled from all over just to see The Rock, Daniel Bryan, Punk and Lesnar.

And this is a perfect example of why WWE is killing their own crowds, like Choke2Death said. Capital Punishment may have had a horrendous crowd, but look at Backlash 2000, which was also held in Washington DC. One of the greatest pops of all time, Steve Austin returning to help the Rock, along with Rock winning the title (the final 5 minutes of the main event basically). And before that, the crowd was still hot for everything, from Jericho/Benoit to Trish Stratus getting power bombed by Bubba Ray through a table, they loved it. 11 years later, and WWE's shit product has killed their live audience.

As for the worst crowd ever...that's hard to say. I can tell you that the crowd for Lockdown 2012 was absolutely dreadful and ONE of the worst ever, which is really surprising since its James Storm's hometown and he was in the main event challenging for the title. Didn't watch HIAC 2012 but I'd be hard pressed to believe it was worse than Lockdown. You could hear the guy in the upper deck sneeze, it was so quiet.

If we're talking Raw crowds, that last one in Fresno a while back was shameful. They literally only popped for John Cena. They were dead for everyone else. No chants, no heat, nothing. Dead as a doornail. The epitome of a casual audience.

You make a valid point. Also, people like to follow by example. If I was attending and stayed in the middle of people who simply didnt react i would feel unconfortable being the only one marking out. They are all party poopers, casual fans.
