Re: This is why the WWE stinks in 2012: last minute changes by Vince
Vince’s booking on the fly is a big problem in today’s WWE – not just with the Punk vs. Ryback match at HIAC.
Long-term booking allows for a consistent storyline arc that hopefully makes sense. The smaller details of the story beneath build up better and make the entire story flow better. The on the fly booking creates an environment where something that happens today does not make sense with what happened two weeks ago.
There are some of us who would like some consistently in our storylines. When Vince McMahon was removed from power by the WWE board a year ago, how can he come back to TV now as an authority figure who can determine main events, without any explanation? These kind of inconsistencies happen way too much, and if that doesn’t bother you, then perhaps you are just more easily entertained.
Plenty of people have stopped watching WWE. The ratings and PPV buy rates speak for themselves. The fact that many of us who have stopped watching are still wanting to come here and rant about the product is more than enough to show how badly we want the product to improve.
There is a lot more money on the table for WWE to make. Vince’s ignorance and arrogance is what is costing him that larger amount of dough.
