WWE seriously needs to re-brand several of it's PPV events. Having it named after just one match that night is ridiculous.

They need to go back to,

- No Way Out as the February PPV, keeping the EC match as the main event.
- Having the MITB matches at Wrestlemaina, bringing back KOTR as the July PPV.
- No Mercy as the October PPV, with the possibility of having a HIAC match as the main event.
- Armageddon/Vengeance as the December PPV


I just can't stand the PPV having the same name as the match type.

Hell In A Cell is the perfect example. The Cell should not be forced otherwise it loses it's impact.

The entire Elimination chamber concept should just be gotten rid of entirely.

bring back KOTR but this time have Point System...i like the concept of point system where anybody can beat anybody. There's so many things so could do this point system for KOTR.

I agree, I hate the gimmick PPV like TLC, MITB and Hell in a Cell. Bring back Vengeance for OTL, No Mercy for HIAC and Armageddon for TLC. Like you said KOTR could also replace MITB because there should really only be one MTIB match per year.

I'm with you on the Hell in a Cell one although that is because calling the PPV HIAC devalues the concept and mystique of the cell. If it was a one off, like if you have two huge feuds happening to culminate at one PPV, then put them in the cell and call it Hell in a Cell, but not every year. Cell matches are supposed to be used sparingly, where two guys can't possible settle the issue any other way

The thing about naming PPV's after match types though has been around for years. The Royal Rumble is named after the match type, so was Survivor Series and no one would change them. King of the Ring was also the name of the tournament and i guess, the match type too.

yeah. and i think they're realizing it. They were forced to make Punk vs Ryback a HIAC when it really shouldn't have been one. Also they had a HIAC match at Wrestlemania, and having a PPV with the same name kind of made it weird and over-exposed. GO BACK TO NORMAL PPV'S. At least it is a surprise when we hear stipulations, already having them for any possible feud is stupid shit.
