Re: How bad is WWE currently?

I try my best to stay optimistic, I really do. But as a long time fan of wrestling and the WWF (I still really hate the whole E thing) in particular, it is harder than I ever remember it being to sit through an entire episode of Raw, let alone SmackDown. I think they're biggest problem is the same thing it's been for a few years. They have people writing scripts for wrestlers.

Re: How bad is WWE currently?

What's sad is I probably wouldn't bitch as much if it was 2 hours. The tag division is going great and I liked the main event scene with Punk and Ryback, but those 2 things alone just aren't worth sitting threw 3 hours of mostly filler and ads. The show has become predictable and there's absolutely no need to really watch until the Royal Rumble. That's why I'm making my decision to stop watching for awhile and only catch the clips I care about online.

I understand striking the iron while it's hot but something about the Ryback push has desperation all over it. The crowd tonight wasn't as into him as last monday( I'm discounting last night since it was the worst ppv crowd in years) and I can his crowd support decreasing and becoming more negative if this super push continues and he beats Punk. He should be in Kofi's place right now and do what Samoa Joe did in TNA during his undefeated run and beat all comers as the IC Champion until finally losing the title in a Triple Threat Match next summer and moving up from there.

The Hell in a Cell was probably better than I painted it, but the crowd really brought it down and may have screwed Ryback's offense as a result.
I personally wanted Ryback to become IC Champion. When he interrupted that Miz TV segment I thought he was coming for The Miz's title and he would win it and go to hold the title for months while they continued that slow and steady push to the top that would of done him and the title a lot of good, but then Cena got injured and they panicked and they needed a back up plan so they went with Ryback, they've probably been very impressed with how Ryback's done in the feud since (particularly his crowd reaction) and they decided to run with it. Who knows, if Cena didn't get injured maybe Ryback would be IC Champion now? Ryback was going to get pushed to the top eventually, Vince is really high on the guy, but Cena's injury has made that come sooner that we thought. Ryback's the best pick to win The Royal Rumble at this point imo.

And yeah the crowd was a bit of a letdown in their match, a hot crowd could of really made that match more enjoyable.

Finally today I just preferred to do my jog later and lose the first hour of RAW, I took a bath, put in order some stuff of the house and feed my dog, almost another hour, not giving much of a fuck is starting to happen.

Undertaker is a selfish, arrogant, broken down old has been who can't give it up, who doesn't give one shit about the next generation of stars and helping the company that made him thrive. It's always all about him.

Re: How bad is WWE currently?

Pretty bad. Every match seems so mediocre and uninteresting. It's either poorly booked or it's a squash match that nobody cares about. There's very little mic time outside of a small handful of guys. Cena's still pigging up screen time being Mr Good Guy when they could just turn the douchebag heel. I love Punk and he does his damndest to make a crap storyline work, but it's still a crappy storyline. Ryback feuding with the top guy because Cena can't? That's the WWE in dire straits. They literally have to call upon their legends in order to make anything interesting, and that's not always a guarantee. I don't want to see people like Lawler or JR in the spotlight. They should be on commentary and stay there. That's what they do best. Mick Foley and Bret Hart were great, but they can't save a three hour show on their own. I really cannot wait for Punk's reign to end, not because of Punk, but because of how absolutely boring the main storyline is. It's all filler crap until Royal Rumble where Rock can take over for a short while.

I sure as hell am not looking forward to Survivor Series knowing it's just going to be more of the same Punk and Ryback garbage. Until Lesnar or Rock returns, there's little reason to really care. The other "feuds" aren't interesting either. I really hope they have something good planned for RTWM, because I don't think things will get better until then.

Re: Any Long Time Fans Just Giving Up On Raw???

i have always hoped for maybe a great storyline or something big happening, but tonight was the first night since i started watching where i truly do not care about 1 thing at all, or anything in the future storyline besides rock coming back

most fans tuned off anyways, but i have always stuck around feeling like a more hardcore fan, but even the fanboys cant defend this garbage

and to think wrestlers like sheamus/ryback comparing themselves to great attitude era stars, sheamus doesnt deserve to be in the same ring as taker

sheamus-corny goofball makes me want to flip channel
orton-good but lazy and same old crap with him, never will be a number 1 guy
cena-dont even start
ryback-will be a bust

i mean where are the persona's, two cool got a bigger reaction along with the all the mid carders from AE than these so called main eventers

scotty 2 hotty got a bigger pop than sheamus ever will, so did val venis

my god wrestling sucks so much, a new low in the last 20 years imo

Re: Any Long Time Fans Just Giving Up On Raw???

Problem is that Vince doesn't give 2 shits because he has no competition to light a fire under his ass to make the product better. Lack of creativity is another but no matter what is thrown around or an idea goes through Vince and if he doesn't like it, you won't ever see it. There's awesome talent but very few is used and are able to show off they're skills. Ratings are in the shitter not because if Punk (blow me ratings nerds) but because of the whole product being redundant and predictable. There's no "wow" or "oh my!" (Fuck off Cole) moments.

Re: Any Long Time Fans Just Giving Up On Raw???

It is pretty bad at the moment. But this always makes me laugh "rating are so bad... this sucks." If you enjoy the show, watch it. Why do people care so much about the ratings? If Raw had better ratings with the same writing, I bet people would be like "RAW was amazing that night!"
