DDP trying to get Jake Roberts back in shape

Quote:

Newsday.com is reporting Diamond Dallas Page has legend Jake "The Snake" Roberts moving in to one of his Atlanta area homes today to begin a strict training routine to get the 57-year-old Roberts ready for one more run.

Page talked about how Roberts got up to 302 pounds at one point but has already helped him get in better shape.

The training is going to be filmed as part of a documentary.

One stipulation is Roberts must do DDPYOGA for 6 to 8 weeks. The story says filming and training began for Roberts in Texas who already lost 20 pounds in the first 3 weeks. Roberts is currently lost 35 pounds total so far.

Roberts will also be drug tested while he is in the house. DDP says if Roberts fails a test, he's gone. The project will be heavily promoted on Facebook and Twitter as well.

"Bottom line is, everybody wants the comeback story,” DDP said. “Everybody wants to see Jake look good, and feel good, and not be a mess anymore. That would be great. I think there are a lot of really positive things that can come out of this if Jake really does it."
Honestly, if DDP can help him get healthier that would be pretty awesome. I think it's doable too, I've seen videos of what DDP yoga did for a lot of people and I'm sure Jake could do his best. Best of luck to DDP and Jake.

As someone who does DDP Yoga/YRG (Not for weight loss but for flexibility/cardio) that stuff actually does work if you make an effort!

Good for Jake Roberts, YRG has had some great transformations. Best of luck for both of them

Best of luck to Jake Roberts. He's a legend and it would be tragic to see his downfall be rooted to drug abuse like so many other wrestlers.

Tryin' to help out Jake the Snake? That's not a bad thing, that's a good thing!

Best of luck to Roberts, I'd like to see him in the Hall of Fame some day and this help could be the way to achieve it and really improve his life.

Good to hear. I believe DDP helped Raven get rehabilitated back in the 90's when Raven was on drink or drugs(can't remember which). So I think it would be pretty cool if he could do it for Jake.

I feel like if the WWE ever had WWE Network it would definitely feature this DDP Yoga. Seems like something many of the fat mothers of the children who love Cena could get in to. lol.

Great news. I want to see Jake beat his demons and if DDP is willing to help him, good on him. I hope this works out well. If anybody deserves a happy ending, it's Jake. The guy has struggled with some serious shit for a long time. I hope that Jake makes it! The guy is half the reason I got into WWF in the first place. Maybe if he gets straightened out he'll make the HOF and drop the DDT on some ass~clown in the process.

That would be awesome if DDP could help Jake. Jake is one of my all time favs, possibly the original cerebral assassin.
