Who the hell is saying Cena? It's Hogan without question and like others have said, Hogan had a lot more leverage and he meant a lot more than Cena ever will. You take away Hogan back in the 80s for the WWF and you take away the company. You take away Cena now and you might stumble and maybe even lose a good deal of money but the company remains.

Backstage-wise - John Cena. The company evolves around him. If Cena was to leave right now ratings would fall dangerously low. Its so bad to the point where if he was to get a serious injury WWE would have to keep him on TV or keep showing footage of him in order to keep people watching. Cena is also a better face for the brand than Hogan ever was. With all the make a wishes he has granted along with his work ethic, I believe WWE will go as far as Cena help take it at the moment.

Physically - Hulk Hogan. Homeboy was on Steriods and Juvi Juice.

Honestly I think its Hogan by a landslide. Most of the Hogan hate seems to stem from his 30yrs of backstage politics, getting his buddies jobs, changing or backing out of planned storylines etc. I cant recall Cena bashers mentioning this about him, its usually how "limited his move set is" or something like that.

The same ultimately. They never drop the title other than to 'company guys'. Cena loses to guys that Vince is grooming. The one guy I think of is RVD and even then - it wasn't a truly clean finish and RVD fucked that whole thing up by being friends with SABU lmao. But RVD was currently getting groomed to be the top guy for WWECW which probably would have done a little better for a little longer with him at the helm. And who knows what the plans were for AFTER WWECW. Other than that, I also can't think of anyone Hogan put over that wasn't a 'company guy'. That's absolute power because you protect your character while at the same time, when you do lose; you're putting over say an Orton or Sheamus who are going to go on and have sturdy reigns and eventually losing to them seems like a 'good loss'.

It's really a tough question to answer in that sense.

Now I say, well we haven't seen the rest of Cena. Hogan is pretty much done. As a wrassler. Cena could do a Hollywood type turn where he lets his ego take control. And once he turns, him showing his ego will not be frowned upon because the Cena haters will turn in to Cena lovers because he'll be such a jackass and different than his gummy bear persona of now.

I say revisit question in 5 or 10 years. For now today the toss up goes to Hogan imo.
