He was arguably the #2 man on the WWF team at Survivor Series if you look how much focus was placed upon him. He got a massive pop when he won his first WCW title over of all people The Rock.

The problem was that they turned him heel instead of letting him ride his baby face popularity as undisputed champion (he was probably 1 or 2 in terms of babyfaces with The Rock). Then they just fed him to Triple H in a storyline with no redeeming features (which actually could have been great if Steph really went with Y2J instead of just treating him as a bitch) and then with the influx of WCW they depushed him massively. So stupid, he was on the cusp of genuinely cementing a place in the main event for years to come.
He was on fire as a face in 2000. I recall the crowd going nuts when he won the WWF Title from HHH (before he was stripped of it 20 min later) and their last man standing match at fully loaded. They could have used him as the young hungry underdog and the fans would have really gotten behind him. Could have been up there with Rock and Austin.

His heel feud against the Rock had potential, I think. But, WWE screwed him over during RTWM. Basically he bacame a joke that everyone knew was going to lose to HHH and lose hard.

Y2J and specifically his feud with Stephanie. Hilarious.

My favorite Chris Jericho years were 2007-2010. In 2007, he had one of the best and most underrated WWE returns in recent memory, the whole SAVE_US_Y2J cryptic angle was set up at the right place at the right time, and was nicely done. He was on fire during his brief face run - yeah, I enjoyed it, whatevs. In 2008, he went on to portray his best work in his career as he played the best heel in the company at the time and considering there was Edge, JBL and Randy Orton on the roster too, that really says a lot. Not to mention, he was involved in a quality rivalry with Shawn Michaels that produced some quality matches. In 2009, him and Rey Mysterio had a red-hot feud that brought a sh*t-load of credibility back into the Intercontinental Championship. Next we had Jeri-Show, a well worked tag team with legit connection and chemistry, and he made me get an enjoyment out of Big Show. And he still remained brilliant in 2010, still remained brilliant.

Meant to vote for 99-01 but yea 99-01 was his best years character wise in my opinion. Though he was used best from 07-10.

I voted 99-01 as he was as mega over as a face as he ever (everrrrrrrrrrrrr) was and had tremendous programs with all the great talent from that time.

But then thinking about his brilliant 08-10 heel run, that ties IMO. He completely changed his personality and had the best feud of recent times with Shawn, and tremendous programs with Rey, Edge, Punk etc.

Definitely his 2007-2010 run. Though I'd say his time as Undisputed Championship was real good.

2007-2010 (More specifically 2008), he was the man at that time and his feud with HBK (and his slow burning heel turn) was one of the all time greats.

Every single poll that involves the attitude era as an option is instantly pointless.
